Awesome place for summer, drinks before dinner. Cozzy and not dangerous... You always need to worry when walking around at crowd or touristy piazza in Italy or Europe, but for this one, you can totally enjoy and feel safe

Unmissable sight a step away from the stunning Palazzo della Ragione and beautiful Piazze adjoining. Of particular worth is the Torre dell'Orologio, built under the significant influence of the Venetian Republic. Built in 1426 it is fascinating to note only 11 signs of the Zodiac. Have some fun finding out which is not represented! Compare it with the clock face... More

First, we viewed the architecture and then we began to explore the booths and shops. This is the heart of Padova with people everywhere buying, eating, drinking and playing. You get to see how the citizens live if you take some time to watch. Have fun and take it in.

We were lucky as it was market day on the Piazza, so not only did we see the historical buildings and shops but also shopped the market. Many shops to browse and good gelato to eat. I had vanilla, and my spouse had chocolate/raspberry.

We enjoyed much time here shopping and sampling the many restaurants, gelato, and spritzes. Close walk to many stores and tons of al fresco seating.

You have to look at the architecture of this piazza as it is different with every building. In the middle is a range of restaurants but look around at the very interesting buildings. A must see.

We visited in the evening, just after a bit of a thunderstorm... the tables were all out and some occupied, but not very busy.

As the nearby Piazza dell Erbe and Piazza della Frutta (separately listed) this square is a place with great vitality, not just a monument, but where Padua citizens live their town centre. A crowded market covers the square in daytime on Saturdays and in the evenings, many bars, pubs, restaurants keep it bustling, especially in summer with hundreds of tables... More

During nice weather, all of the surrounding bars and restaurants set up tables in the Piazza. It is the very best alfresco dining and drinking in Italy. Kids run around going crazy, guys and girls and their bachelor/bachelorate parties meander the streets. If its not cold or raining, its one of my favorite places in Italy. Highly, Highly recommended.
