This was our second visit to La Thuile. This time there was a lot more snow which made the skiing a bit more challenging but still lots of variety to suit a range of abilities. Went with another family and abilities ranged from scaredy cat to daredevil, and we were all happy. By far though the best thing about La... More

A great range of runs and a very efficient series of lifts - much less queuing than in other places I have been to. This resort is good for families - but probably would suit those that have done some skiing before, rather than complete novices. Lots of good Red Runs - and a few challenging Black runs (so my... Visited second week in January 2104. Great little resort, very underestimated and totally family friendly. You won't get bored with the runs, lift system was good, loads of snow; locals quite friendly; coffee and cake excellent.....pizza to die for! You can ski over to France if you wish. Would not hesitate to go again. Resort was not busy, so plenty... More

We had a week skiing and boarding over the new year period. I am a skier and my partner a boarder. Quiet slopes with few queues, mainly red runs, which we enjoyed. If you're a beginner/lower int, this resort is a bit limited. If you enjoy a range a red runs this is a good, inexpensive and friendly ski area.... More

The variation in slopes is not great, connections to La Rosiere and especially back from La Rosiere are bad, two old towbarlifts. because of the huge amount of snow the towbars were very tiring . Snow in La Rosiere was slush because of the sun so we decided to go back to La thuile quickly. Quality of snow in la... More

We selected the resort after reading the 'amazing' reviews however our experience was a little different. The village is small as expected but generally ok, we stayed at the Le Miramonti hotel which was very very good. Our main issue was with the variety and grading of the slopes, in a mixed ability group we found that the 'easy' slopes,... More

Just returned from a week snowboarding in La Thuile and had a great time. The resort was way less crowded than most euro resorts, and we didn't see a queue all week. There are plenty of great runs, suitable for a mix of abilities, ranging from wide empty blue runs, to steeper reds and tree runs down into the town.... More

After one day in courmayeur we chose to ski La Thuile on the second. We were not disappointed! Big resort, lots of runs, few people (it was a Sunday!) and connection to France. Snow conditions better than courmayeur thanks to the cooler temperature and my beginner girlfriend had a good time and even ventured on one black!

Have just returned from La Thuile, it was my first ski holiday so I'm not really qualified to comment on how good the resort is overall, though the friends I travelled with (who are experienced ski/boarders) said it was a great resort. I took lessons at the ski school and cannot compliment the instructor enough, in 5 days he took... More
