Wide open runs, gobs of sunshine, calm pistes and barely and lift lines. Really enjoyable. Perfect for kids as the runs on La Combe are ideal for little learners. Blacks to the bottom are great. Black 2 was a real treat. Only ding was the quality of the mountain facilities but one quickly forgets them back on the slopes.

Great place to ski for a W/E. We flew to Milan Malpensa, hired a car and drove to the resort late Thursday night (2 1/2 hrs). Great 3 days skiing, skied over to France, lunched on the slopes in La Rosiere and dined out at Pepita Cafe for dinner. Stayed Hotel Miramonta. Picturesque, great w/e skiing, not for party animals... Viisted February 2015 for a weeks skiing. Great resort. We could ski down from our hotel to the main Planibel cable car and ski back pretty much to our hotel door at the end of the day. The runs are realy well groomed. There are lots for beginners and to keep Intermediate skiers happy. My husband is probably nearer expert but... More

Went here for the day as we were disappointed with Courmayeur. All lifts and all pistes were open. This place has great pistes well groomed and pretty empty with absolutely no lift queus. Well impressed, some reviews say its not good for boarders as some runs are flat in places but the pistes are so well groomed you can really... More

we were stopping in a chalet in La Rosiere, but we decided one day to cross the border and ski away to La Thuile. We got on a chairlift (Can't remember the name though!) That was there, and my first impressions of La Thuile were instantly ruined. For starters, this chairlift isn't detachable, (doesn't slow down when entering as station,... More

This is a small ski resort with quite a good amount of skiing, mainly intermediate level. There is not much après ski night life, but some very nice places to eat.

We've been there to check this ski resort and make a comparison with Pila and Courmayeur... The piste quality is great... you can go some great speeds and some of the tracks are literately amazing... not to mention the views... Ahhhhh.... i want to go back

I have been here a few times, on a good week there are enough runs to keep the best occupied from first light to lift closed. We were over for new year’s this year’s and as a previous poster noted there were a few lifts closed. The week we were there you could cross to France everyday and 4 of... More

Don't believe the brochure when it says "80 pistes". We were there immediately after an 18" dump of snow and you would expect all pistes to be open. They weren't. For example the Argillien Express and Arnouvaz lifts never opened all week so that whole area of red runs was not available. Our guide said it had not been open... More

This was our second ski trip as a family. The ski area was not completely open due to the lack of snow, but what was open was very good. You can also ski into La Rossiere (France), which is probably a slightly better ski area, but the two drag lifts back to la Thuile are long and tedious... The skiing... More
