While on our way from Brecia to Bolzano we needed a break and Trento was the perfect place to stop, have a drink in the main Piazza, check out the Duomo, and watch the passing parade of people. One does feel the mix of German/Austria and Italian in both the air and the chatter. The service at the sidewalk cafe... More

More than your typical town square. The buildings were amazing. Lots of variety in choice of cafes and restaurants.

As a first stop in Trento this is a great place to head for to take in the atmosphere if this great city. Sit down and have a drink or a coffee and people watch. Some lovely streets situated off the Piazza for shopping, eating or taking photos. Enjoy!

Just seat on one of the cafes and enjoy the view: the duomo, the Netuno Fountain, the afrescos, the civic tower, listen to the bells. I've been there in winter and summer, fall and spring, equally lovelly.

Beautiful square with great restaurants all around. There is an awesome gelato store (Grom) that is to die for. Also the cathedral is there. normally it should close at 8pm, but be aware that after 7:30 they close the doors. Finally if you are in the square at 8pm, you will hear the cathedral bells for a solid 3 mins,... More

This is a truly beautiful large square which made the center of the beautiful town of Trento. You reach it from small streets and suddenly the horizon opens up dramatically with this irregular very large square. It is defined by the beautiful Duomo, a fort and many houses and palazzi whose architecture is reminiscent of the times when Trento was... More

Trento is in the foothills of the Dolomites and you can see the mountains in the background of the piazza. Very photogenic. There is a pretty fountain and it seems like a dozen different cafe, bar and restaurant options. Easy place to spend an hour or two just watching the people and the scenery go by.

We loved this Piazza - gorgeous fountain and a square flanked by the Duomo to the North and very attractive shops and cafes on the other 3 sides. We visited late afternoon and it was had a verylaid back vibe and wasn't overly crowded. Extreemly photogenic we spent about 20 mins getting some photos. Although not up with the likes... More

I ve been many times. Summer or winter was always a pleasure sit down at one of those bars surrounding this beautiful square. Having an Espresso or a Spritz, whatever just sit down and watch what s going on there. That s an italian pleasure specially with a cigarette and a coffee.. Taking your time. Looking at the fountain or... More
