Exceptionally well-designed and kept gardens, built into a mountainside, where every turn of the path reveals a new experience. Wonderful food and jolly staff make it a pleasure.

We would certainly recommend a day visit to Trauttmansdorff. A fair degree of mobility is required however as a lot of the site is sloping. Time should be allowed for the museums as well which are well thought out and light in approach.

Visit the tourism museum inside the gardens. Princess Sissi was one of the guests of this residence. There is a restaurant bar inside with tyrolean specialities. In summer during the evenings there are open air live concerts .
