This is a must see venue if you are in this part of Italy. Well worth the money for an entire day out. Meticulously kept gardens and genuinely enough to keep a family occupied for 6 hours (including lunch) Make sure you have enough room on that camera memory card because you're going to need it. Enjoy.

We visited on a sunny Saturday in early June, and were amazed by the beauty of the gardens. With 4 main 'circuits' to walk, as well as side paths - many quite steep - there was so much to see. We were there 3 hours, and only covered about half of the gardens. The different paths were signposted in German,... More

We expected to visit the gardens for about 2 hours, and instead spent the better part of the entire day there! What a wonderful experience for us and our 4 year old daughter who delighted in every rose, camellia, blossom ... plus the new Botanical Underworld was excellent (although no tour was offered in English on the day we were... Exceptionally well-designed and kept gardens, built into a mountainside, where every turn of the path reveals a new experience. Wonderful food and jolly staff make it a pleasure.

We would certainly recommend a day visit to Trauttmansdorff. A fair degree of mobility is required however as a lot of the site is sloping. Time should be allowed for the museums as well which are well thought out and light in approach.

As we came in only late afternoon, we just spent about 2 hours in this absolutely fantastic park/garden ... but I guess you could spend almost a whole day here and enjoy the nature and learn about plants etc. The gardens are not only kept up very well, but also invite to relax, take some great pictures or just stroll... We were a party of 40 touring the Tirol and part of the week was a day trip to the Trauttmansdorff Castle Gardens, we were so lucky the weather arrived with masses of sun and warmth, the trees were starting to bloom the flowers were in great displays. We ate in the cafe by the lake and I have to... More

These are garden of a Palazzo which are partly situated on a slope. The garden domain is quite large, providing a lot of variation, from water gardens, chinese garden, dry gardens, roses, and on the upper part there is also a climbing bridge worth going to. Beautifully taken care of, there are lots of walking paths, but be advised that... More

Visit the tourism museum inside the gardens. Princess Sissi was one of the guests of this residence. There is a restaurant bar inside with tyrolean specialities. In summer during the evenings there are open air live concerts .
