This museum was totally unexpected to us and a great experience. The range and quality of exhibits was exceptional, and crowds in early April were small. If you have any interest in Egypt at all this is a must see. More

One of the most important Egyptian museums in the world. Exceptional pieces of art, very rare. The museum is open daily, if you visit the town don't lose it. More

We firts hesitated as we are more keen on paintings and already knew Cairo's, Louvre, British Museum and the Metropolitan's ancient Egyp tcollections. Yet we were glad we visited this great museum! The collection was floaded with hords of rather disciplined Italian kids visiting this international institution with their teachers. We bought the museum's guide book in French that gives... More

Most signage is also in english. Huge variety of exhibits. I've never seen so many well preserved mummies in one place. Loved the tombs. We stayed a lot longer than planned and could have stayed even longer. More

This is the 2nd largest Egyptian Museum in the world. Plan on spending several hours here. There are thousands of items on display, with explanations in seveal languages including English. So many items from tombs, including mummies, statue, scrolls, clothing, wigs, jewelry, and paintings. This is a must-see when visiting Northern Italy and the city of Torino (Turin). No charge... I had heard wonderful things about the Egyptian museum and finally had an opportunity to go. There is some construction underway, but that did not hinder my ability to be amazed and the extent of the collection. It is amazing how much is here - from ceramics to sarcophagi to tremendous monuments. I will definitely go back. More

This museum has excellent collections with a special display on the written word in the various scripts. Many displays focus on everyday life as shown in funerary objects made to accompany the departed and provide for their future life. It is very popular so can be full of visitors and so difficult to see the smaller displays. More
