The red bus tour which leaves from Piazza Castello is certainly well worth doing. Costing Euros15.00 it is a 55 minute tour taking in the main sights of the old part of Turin. The ticket is valid for 24 hours and you can get on and off at any of the 8 stops en route. Between the second week of... More

Just spent a lovely two days in Turin - a beautiful city with fantastic shopping (do visit Moda del Guanto the most amazing glove shop on Via Santa Tereza). The city is easy to walk around due to the grid system of streets and is very pedestrian friendly. The bus tour was a great way to get our bearings but... More

We spent one night here on our way home from Sorrento via Milan. The reception staff recommended a walk from our hotel near the railway station and it was a superb walk on pedestrian streets all the way to the river. The buildings and piazzas were stunning and the atmosphere was lively and good natured. There were plenty of restaurants and snack bars... I had never considered this city but read about it on my-piedmont and was intrigued. Here is a city of greatness that for some crazy reason has been forgotten by most people visiting Italy. The wide avenues, attractive architecture, awesome restaurants, shops to keep you shopping till you drop and awe-inspiring palaces that I had never heard of. Piazza castello... More

We did the double decker bus trip at 15 Euros a head, and i found the commentary to be badly editted with some cliche baroque music going on and off throughout the tour and mixed commentary. Torino is so beautiful and i felt the tour was pricy and a bit of a rip off.

Dear Sir, thank you for your review! Actually in July we had some technical problems concerning our digital audio system. In any case, on board our staff is always available to help passengers and offers also technical support. We are sorry about your disappointment and we hope that one day you will come back to our city. Kind Regards More

I had always believed Turin to be industrial (afterall, Fiat are based there) but it is a lovely city with a fabulous 18th century centre, good museums and good (and not extortionate) shopping. We went for a day when poor weather meant that skiing was off. We're going back for a long weekend end!
