I loved this little museum. I enjoyed the juxtaposition of an old Italian mansion with the Asian artifacts. The collection is small, but had some very interesting pieces (e.g. the Padmapani and Surya) I liked that it wasn't one of those large sprawling museums with huge crowds (like the British Museum or Louvre) and I could be in the galleries... We went there with my boyfriend and were very happily surprised. What looks like a tinny museum from the outside is a wonderful building full of treasures. We were pleased with the discovery, a brief visit turned out to be hours. Very few people visiting which seems a shame for the effort & funds spent. Good for the visitors no problem for seeing the exhibits. Wide range of cultures covered in the relatively small space

If you want to spend a couple of hours, or even a full day, in a modern museum equipped with precious pieces of arts, proper lights, clever introductions and guidance both in Italian and English, nice staff (and unspotted toilets), then this is the right place. Apart from the amazing small Japanese gardens at the entrance of the historical Palazzo... More
