This is an ancient village on an island - only accessible by boat. Only one restaurant and maybe one shop. A few inhabitants - but lots of great old buildings. Best viewed from the shores of Orta San Giulia if you want lots of excitement in your life. But if you enjoy getting lost with your camera in an environment...

For about $4 you can take a taxi/boat over to the island. There really is not much to see on the island other than the church and a few minutes walking around. Most of the island is private homes and gated off. The beauty is being on the water and approaching the island.
