The square is a great place to view the duomo, but good luck taking a picture without 15 people trying to sell you a selfie stick. The pigeons are also pretty gross. It's just one of those typical tourist areas that gets targeted by the annoying salesmen and other tourists who get sucked in. It's unavoidable. You shouldn't go to... More

This square is always crowded, full of tourists taking photos with the Cathedral. There are lots of pigeons and people who sell grains so they can come to you. The square is very large, and has a representative statue in the middle.

You you go visit Duomo, you won't be able to miss the square. It is definitely more alive. We were here with our small son, he had a blast, or you can just enjoy looking at duomo.

The square is large enough to provide a well-deserved view of the duomo. Scala and the Vittorio Emmanuele Gallery are in immediate vicinity.

From the Duomo square you get to admire a beautiful cathedral, the outstanding galleria and many restaurants. Around the square you find two long shopoing streets with countless stores. At the duomo square you can just grab a gelato, sit and enjoy the great city of Milan.

Surrounding the extremely impressive Cathedral, the square was a mass of people, and this was in mid January so in summer it would be even more crowded. Visiting the cathedral is a must, it is free to enter but costs for the museum, visit to the terraces or to take photos! Wandering through the cathedral the sheer size is impressive... More

Lovely square which has a nice selection of shops and restaurants. It is very busy but is huge so didn't feel overcrowded even in August. We sat directly opposite the Duomo and ate delicious tiramisu, drank coffee and watched the world go by. Busy but delightful.

So many people in one place. Watch out for the guys trying to put the bands on your hands, they will just grab your arm to put it on and then demand money for them.
