Central with the Duomo at your back ....the Galleria Vittorio and many eating joints around and the lively street of Mighty Milan in front. Perfect place to rest your tired feet and watch the city pass by you.If you are lucky enough you might as well be a spectator to some event happening at this square. If you like feeding the... More

The focal point of a beautiful city. The square is large and packed with people sitting and watching and taking in the cathedral. On the edges of the square are shops and cafe bars to sit and just people watch but be warned, it is very expensive to eat and drink

The Duomo Square is an awesome central point to the city. Milan is laid out like a spider web with the Duomo, and hence the square, as the center. With the backdrop of the Duomo, evening concerts are held in the square.

I was in Milan during the summer and one of the best parts of the day was when I would just sit against one of the columns on the perimeter of the Square and watch Milan pass before me! There are any one of a number of cafes and shops where you can buy a panino or gelato or coffee... More

This was my least favorite of all Cathedrals/churches in Italy. The interior was far more pleasing to me than the exterior. Line ups to enter with police checking bags and packs. No pictures allowed without a fee.

This is a beautiful area, with the breathtaking Duomo at it's center, all the upscale shopping, and people watching, are well worth a visit here.

The Duomo Square is right where the cathedral is and even if you are not religious it is well worth seeing. The cathedral is amazing and hard to believe it was all built by men and hard work - NO machines then. The square is full of lovely little restaurants and shops. Be mindful however of pick pockets - they... More

Beautiful cathedral under going a clean up. Good spot to check out in hot weather because it's nice and cool! Has the usual trimmings of its era - I'm not an expert on all cathedrals so my apologies to those of you who see my remarks as irreverent. The scale of the outdoor space is wow factor as is the... The view and photos that can be taken of the Duomo and the Cathedral can be breath-taking. Lots of people, so be patient if taking photos. Sun glare was very strong in July. An umbrella is also handy for the strong sun or alternatively heavy rain on another day.

Not so beautiful as other Italian squares. Almost impossible to enjoy it since you are surrounded and disturbed by people trying to sell some stuff to feed the pigeons.
