If you want to see the Last supper painting at the Santa Maria delle Grazie, you must book your tickets well ahead. There are multiple restrictions that govern entry owing to temperature and humidity control. Of course this is a piece of history that you would not want to miss when in Milan.

I booked the tickets direct from the website about 5 weeks before our visit on 10 Sept, for 8 euros each. We were staying at Lake Como and took the Hydrofoil to Como then train the Station Nord in Milan, which is then a very short walk to Santa Maria Delle Grazie. Collected our tickets in the morning for a... More

You do not have to take a tour. Our tickets for the Last Supper itself cost 8 euros. We went to the official internet site, chose the English version, navigated to the day we wanted and booked paying through Paypal (though other ways are accepted). There are only a very few tickets available this way, so unless you want to chance... A 2.5 hour tour including the last supper and the fortress. We really enjoyed how informative our guide was. It was well organized and walking the streets with our questions being answered was a bonus.

I had bought the tour to insure I would be able to view DaVinci's Last Supper painting, but was surprised by the rest of the tour including the beautiful opera house and museum. Standing in front of "Last Supper" was one of the highlights of my vacation. Because only groups of 25 can see it at one time, it was... More

It is always great to take a tour in a city you've never been to and that was just the case in Milan. We chose the City Wonders Tour to see the Last Supper and to get a tour of the city. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. We started at the Duomo and made our way through... More

I miss this opportunity as I did not make any online booking. Last minute visit cost you 65 Euros compared to the 7 Euro online ticket!

This is an absolute must see. The picture is amazing. You get about 15 minutes to look at it. The depth of field is unreal. The detail just great. Do not except to buy tickets there. You can buy online two months before you visit. Highly recommend you do this. Da Vinci is a genius.

This masterpiece of Leonardo Davinci is a MUST see. It is more than a painting, it is the capture of emotions right after Jesus announced at the last superb that one of his disciples will betray him. This painting emits the reaction of each of them. I recommend to see this with a tour guide as she/he explains the painting... More
