Two adults in their fifties did not go looking for a zoo at all but if you went with younger children you might be disappointed. The gardens however are beautiful and well worth a few hours. There are great views of the lake and the cafe at the top not the bottom has a great view and the service was... More

The garden part is nice, with free roaming peacocks. Plants are not labelled, though. The animals are a different story. An eagle in an enclosure of around 8 meters cube, an owl in perhaps 4x3x2 m. Some animals just looked very depressed. The goats and deer seemed happy, though. The restaurant was not prepared for customers, staff had to be... More

Lots of walking but very pretty. We found it a little bit of a struggle to get round in the heat however there was lots of seats everywhere to relax and take in the sights ,really nice day and worth a visit .

My wife and I are disabled so cannot walk far. This place is best for those who can, plus it is hilly in places.

The gardens were terrific and we spent a very happy morning walking amongst the well tended grounds. Being able to actually enter the enclosures where some of the animals were homed obviously appealed to the children who seemed to get much delight from 'chatting' with them.

The delight of this park is the gardens. Near the top of the hill is a lovely rose garden beautifully laid out with the back drop of the hills and villas around it. It's certainly a suitable reward for the walk up to it which winds gently up the hill through well established woodland. Forget the animals - just a... More

We spent a morning wandering around the extensive grounds and admiring the beautifully planted, colourful gardens. Just a short walk from the centre of Stresa it's tree lined paths provided shelter from the heat. This is not a place to visit if you are expecting to see a vast array of zoo animals. However, there are tropical birds, a children's... More

Spent a very pleasant couple of hours wandering around here admiring the gardens and lake views. Not so keen to see some animals in very small cages but most are roaming free. The café was more than adequate and we thought the entrance fee was fair.

I liked this park. It's not spectacular but still nice. The goats seemed happy, but hated seeing the exotic birds in a cage. While having a drink in the outside cafe,( friendly staff and clean tables) it was upsetting to see some sort of lone animal pacing up and down in his cage. Would be nice if they had a kids... More

With so many gardens of a high standard in the locality, this garden/zoo has to do much better. There was a lot of steep walking involved which we were given no warning of . No plants were labelled, many areas were chained off which led to longer routes, not very well signed. Animal areas need a re think. Not happy... More
