We spent a morning wandering around the extensive grounds and admiring the beautifully planted, colourful gardens. Just a short walk from the centre of Stresa it's tree lined paths provided shelter from the heat. This is not a place to visit if you are expecting to see a vast array of zoo animals. However, there are tropical birds, a children's... More

Spent a very pleasant couple of hours wandering around here admiring the gardens and lake views. Not so keen to see some animals in very small cages but most are roaming free. The café was more than adequate and we thought the entrance fee was fair.

I liked this park. It's not spectacular but still nice. The goats seemed happy, but hated seeing the exotic birds in a cage. While having a drink in the outside cafe,( friendly staff and clean tables) it was upsetting to see some sort of lone animal pacing up and down in his cage. Would be nice if they had a kids... More

With so many gardens of a high standard in the locality, this garden/zoo has to do much better. There was a lot of steep walking involved which we were given no warning of . No plants were labelled, many areas were chained off which led to longer routes, not very well signed. Animal areas need a re think. Not happy... More

Can walk it on road into Stresa or road train goes there. 9.50 Euros entry to see some roaming animals. Woodland walks with some formal laid out gardens.

Although the gardens are extensive and there are some fine specimen trees in the wooded areas there is an overall sense that this place is unloved and the animals in their enclosures all look fed up which makes for uncomfortable viewing. There were two "cafes" one was a covered area with vending machines (!) and the other overlooked a scruffy... More

It is a pleasant way to pass a morning or afternoon. Llamas, deer, goats, flamingos to be seen amongst pleasant gardens. Go there if you have been everywhere else first.

The grounds of this villa are meticulous and it is a joy to walk around. During summer I suggest you get there when it opens to beat the heat of the day. I was thrilled to see 2 of the 3 peacocks put on a display for us. How lucky were we! Bring your own picnic or buy something on... More

Beautiful park and gardens, some stiff climbs in places. Less sure about the various animal dotted about in the park, but may well appeal to children.

Fantastic little gem in Stresa. The Park is a short walk from the main town centre in Stresa along the coastal road. The gardens are brilliant and you are able to get up close with a number of animals in the park. We ate the top restuarant which was very reasonable and the food was good. It is a must... More
