Nice views from up here if you care to walk up, but cable car has not been open for some time, and not likely to be, by the look of it.

Unfortunately this is closed for the foreseeable future, do not waste your time. As we had a hire car we went to Locarno in Switzerland for the day / night instead and went on the cable car to Cardaca, that was fabulous, do that instead!

Caught the cable car and then the chairlift to the top. Magnificent views and worth the trip. TIMING IMPORTANT !!! We had limited time here and unfortunately as soon as we had finished our walk around the top and photos as we arrived back at cable car , the attendant slid his window closed , turned off chairlift and began... It has been closed for some time as it is apparently very out of date and in desperate need of refurbishment. No-one seems to have any idea when it will re-open

This thing seems never to be in service. It wasn't working our entire visit. We had to drive to Switzerland and use the one in Locarno (which was better). Parking is expensive.

Do not bother to take this long trip as the cable cars have been out since the flooding. Sad Italy has not fixed them!

The cable car is closed. Not sure if it will re-open. As of last week it look pretty derelict. Lots of items stored casually in the base station and no work going on that was detectable.

This is advertised as an experience in the area but it's closed and no one seemed to know what was happening to it 's future. Don't go there. It is a waste of your precious holiday time.

A disappointment to say the least. I wanted to ride the cable car like Troy D. And Susanne Pleshette in the movie Rome adventure! You can drive all the way up to see a magnificent view of mountains, but there are a lot of hairpin turns and there is a charge to go beyond the halfway spot. There are two... More
