Hidden away in the shadow of Grotto Di Catullo is this absolute gem, Giamaica Beach is just simply beautiful, a little difficult to get to, be prepared to take a stroll through the clear waters of the lake. The other option is to hire one of the many private hire boats located just outside the castle as you enter Sirmione.... More

We visited on a warm October day. Easy to get to just keep walking along the north eastern section of the peninsula once you've been through the old town (to the right hand side). You do need to walk through some sections of water so wear appropriate footwear. We took some panini that we bought in town and had an... More

For those in Sirmione during the summer or late Spring/early Fall - this is an absolute must do experience. This is a somewhat secluded beach that one gets to by trekking through the water for quite a while (15-30 minutes if one is on the slower side) walking on cool rocks of various sizes through beach vegetation and fantastic views... Totally worth it right at the tip of the half island. The bottom is rocky so water shoes really make th experience better. The water is turquoise in color and the views are enough to make you cry. Truly paradise on earth. If you are just going for the day the traffic in can be a bit difficult but so... More

Giamaica beach is on the tip of Sirmione's peninsula, underneath the Roman ruins of Catullo's caves. It is very secluded because it can be reached only by private boat or by walking in the water (knee deep) for about 500 yards. You must walk toward the Roman ruins, then walk down to the Spiaggia delle BIonde beach, make a left... More
