We didn't visit the villa, only the gardens. They were lovely and well-kept, very pretty and it was lovely to walk along them while having the glorious lake as a back-drop!

Just south of center of Varenna with impressive entrance. House is used as conference center so a bit confusing to find area to visit. Interesting rooms, impressive staircase and beautiful views of Lake Como throughout the gardens.

Beautiful grounds stretching along lakeshore with spectacular views. Large variety of planting. Villa closed Mondays. Parking across from garden

Not the cheapest but lovely gardens with excellent views over the lake. You can also view the house, but we chose not to. I'd recommend about an hour for the gardens.

A short walk from the town centre and along the Lakeside. Very pretty and you can rest for a cappuccino along the way.

A wonderful tranquil place. Spent a while under the stunning magnolia tree. The only sore point was that one of our party required the help of the golf buggy which is provided for disabled visiters. The driver was most reluctant to take him down and when the visiter was ready to return to reception, the driver turned around and drove... More

This is a lovely, level garden in a beautiful setting overlooking Lake Como. It has some shady corners to rest in and the villa itself is interesting, worth a visit and well set out.

In the end, it is simply just a garden yet it is situated right along the eastern coast of the lake. Having said that, though, there were quite a variety of different plantings and the whole park was well cared for. The fol\ks at reception were quite kind and answered all of our questions. If you are in the area... More

These gardens and villa are used as a conference centre but also open to the public. Gardens are not pristine but pleasent to walk through. The villa has some surpises -be sure to see the hidden picture in the chapel and the amazing bathroom. Our guide was so knowledgeable and answered all our questions.
