I took Chef's cooking class last August- and what a great time! First, he picks you up and brings you back to your hotel or the ferry. That alone is easily 30E round trip. Our day went from 10-5!! It was sooo much fun!! Then you eat, eat, eat- and eat some more. You arrive to Italian pastries indivdually laid... More

Charming Chef Moreno prepared WONDERFUL food specialties from the region, teaching and tasting as we went. We had plenty of wine to go with the food and we have never spent a better day anywhere. We did this on our last day but wish we had known that he will pick up groups in Varena and whisk them up the... More

We spent a lovely afternoon learning to cook classic Italian dishes, in a lovely setting, the course good, not totally hands on, we had an excellent chief and I leant lots. The food we cooked was lovely, there was loads of it and I've tried some of the recipes since. Recommend it if you are looking for an authentic experience.

This class and the entire event was great! The instructor and head cook is great. We did this while on out honeymoon and had so much fun. The drive up to the restaurant is kind of rough. Driving uphill and around winding roads so it is not very comfortable but worth it. We were seated in the main dining room... More

By far one of the best experiences we had in Italy! Moreno and Rossella were such gracious hosts. Because it was the offseason, my girlfriend and I were the only ones in Moreno's class and we had so much fun! We learned so much and we cannot wait to try and recreate his authentic Italian recipes at home. It was... More

Unfortunately we were not able to get reservations for the cooking class but we were able to make it for dinner. If you are in Varenna you must have dinner at Il Caminetto. It all started with our family being picked up in the town square and driven to this wonderful place. The food and the staff were amazing and... More

My husband and I and our daughter were with Moreno and his family at his restaurant in June. What a wonderful day and one not to be missed, to watch this man talk about his life and watch him cook a fabulous meal for us all. The drinks were plentiful and the company great, it completely capped off a wonderful... More

Went with my in-laws & husband & we absolutely loved it. Moreno was very entertaining & made great food. Would definitely do it again. FYI: it's almost 6 hours if you're trying to plan your day,
