I would recommend booking your experience in advance. Moreno was a great teacher and was very entertaining! The set up was great with wine and snacks throughout the lesson. He seems like a very loving and happy person! The set up was great to meet others and socialize while the class is in transition. The food was also delicious!

We were in Lake Como for three days, and had scheduled our class in advance. We were picked up by the ferry landing along with several other people and taken to Ristorante Il Caminetto. Moreno was a wonderful teacher and very entertaining, and the food was outstanding. We come back to have dinner at the restaurant the next evening, and... More

What a fun and educational day we had with Moreno at his cooking class. We were 11 people and it seems everyone enjoyed this as much as myself. I now know how to make tortollonis and will definitely try to do this at home. Moreno has a superb command of the English language and has a wonderful sense of humor... More

We had booked the Cooking class with Chef Moreno long ago. The day we were scheduled to be there, it was raining. It turned out to be a perfect way to spend 5 hours. We were transferred from the ferry stop by taxi, thank goodness, as the roads are narrow and full of turns. 15 Americans spent the day watching... More

We stayed at the B & B across from the restaurant the night before our class. Rosella met us as planned and whisked us away up the hill. We attended the Cooking class the next day. There were 14 participants and it was rather impersonal, and Chef did not take time to get to know anyone or ask our names... More

I took Chef's cooking class last August- and what a great time! First, he picks you up and brings you back to your hotel or the ferry. That alone is easily 30E round trip. Our day went from 10-5!! It was sooo much fun!! Then you eat, eat, eat- and eat some more. You arrive to Italian pastries indivdually laid... More

Charming Chef Moreno prepared WONDERFUL food specialties from the region, teaching and tasting as we went. We had plenty of wine to go with the food and we have never spent a better day anywhere. We did this on our last day but wish we had known that he will pick up groups in Varena and whisk them up the... More

We spent a lovely afternoon learning to cook classic Italian dishes, in a lovely setting, the course good, not totally hands on, we had an excellent chief and I leant lots. The food we cooked was lovely, there was loads of it and I've tried some of the recipes since. Recommend it if you are looking for an authentic experience.
