We really liked this place! After having seen several so many of the high-powered art collections in Florence and Milan, it was a pleasure to see a smaller collection of very fine so-called "lesser" art works which weren't meant to knock your socks off. A big range of work here starting with carved masonry, through some ancient frescoes, the usual Renaissance paintings and into modern artworks. There was also a very interesting exhibition and short film presentation (which we were able to watch in English) about the forward-thinking, Como-born architect Antonio Sant'Elia who, sadly, was killed in WW2 before many of his futurist style... More
