I bought the day ticket for these ferries around the lake Como. They also offer an hour ticket but it took me almost 1.5h to get to Varenna (one of the last stops of the tour) so i suggest getting the daily ticket. It is definitely the most beautiful and convenient way to move around this huge lake. You get... More

We used the ferries to cross the lake from our hotel in Tremezzo to other resorts. The timetable is widely available and tickets are available at all boat stations. If you are 65+ you can get a discount in the week and the central lake day ticket at 15 euro or 12euro for over 65s is very good value. I... More

This service links many villages around Como. The service includes ferries that take both passengers and also cars. The schedule is available in most hotels. One thing I found was that, even if you cannot find a direct connection, you could connect through another village that offers better connectivity. The boats are cheap and convenient and saves you hours of... More

There is a timetable for the boats. They are most frequent between the villages from Torno to Como and back. We went to Bellagio on the larger boat, it takes 2 hours, but it is a lovely journey gazing out at the scenery, and villas at the side of the lake.

The ferry (either passenger or car ferry) is a very easy way to visit many of the lakeside towns. Schedules are available online or you can pick up a brochure at a ferry terminal stop. I would check out the schedule beforehand as the ferry doesn't run as often at certain times of day. Boats seemed to run on time... More

Lake transport was very efficient and ran to time. We used both the passenger ferries and car ferries which were very happy with them. Timetables are a bit confusing to begin with but once you get the hang of it it is definitely the best way to get around the area. Car ferries save a long drive round the lake.

Used this as our transportation from Varenna to Lenno. It was enjoyable just to leave Varenna and stop at the other villages on the lake until we reached our destination. If we would have had more time it would have been fun to get off at a couple of the stops to see those villages. The agent at the Varenna... More

We took the lake ride from Lecco to Bellagio, Bellagio to Como. Be advised that there is no boat ride from Como back to Lecco, so you have to take the bus or "Pullman". The boat ride is beautiful and scenic, while there is no tour guide, you really don't need one. There is so much to see and enjoy.... More
