I suggest you don't waste your time here. It is nice but nothing special. The views and the building is like any other villa by the lake side

Of all the gardens I have visited on Lake Como, villa Melzi gardens are the most peaceful. They are made to properly surround the beautiful villa with perfectly scaled parkland. It is to be appreciated that to properly make use of the lakefront the gardens were symetrically designed behind a straightened wall making the lake frontage perfectly straight ang lined... More

A pleasant half mile walk from Bellagio and the Ferry terminal are the gardens di Villa Melzi. Can look across the lake to Villa Carlotta. In the past, the owners of the two gardens were rivals, improving and stocking the gardens with ever more plants to out-do the other. The gardens consist of a flat area near the lake and... More

A short walk from the ferry at Bellagio. Beautiful gardens with lovely views of the lake. Earlier in the year with the plants in bloom it must be stunning.

This is an expensive 'walk in the park'. There is nothing significant in season and therefore you find yourself on an amble through green plains by the lake. Why this is not a free walk way to San Giovanni escapes me.

Very nice gardens for a walk. Not so much blooming in July. But excellent view of the lake all along the way.

This place is a short ten minute well signposted walk from the main car ferry terminal in Bellagio. The path here in the summertime is covered with trees in full bloom in different coloured flowers - very romantic. It is a reasonable price to enter, and you get some great views out over Lake Como, from the front of the... More

The Villa Melzi is very near the hotel we stayed at during our visit in Bellagio. We purchased entrance tickets to the Villa so we could walk safely to Bellagio's city center. Walking on the narrow, curvy street with no sidewalk is a bit precarious. We purchased a two day pass for the Villa's grounds, and we all agreed that... More

Beautiful garden, but wish I'd gone in May as this garden has lots of rhododendrons, which only flower in May. You can't go inside the house.
