I have to Santa Margherita Ligure many times now and for me it always gets better. Beside being so beautiful in its "semplicity" (it's the beauty of nature), It's a place that makes me feel well and happy with myself. I don't need to do anything... just strolling from my hotel to the center of town always gives me peace.... More

First stop on our way down the coast from Nice. Loved the shops, restaurants, and gorgeous sea views.

I've been all across Europe and find it difficult to identify my ONE favorite place. You know, there are so many qualified areas. Unfortunately, however, some of those places such as Sorrento are dominated by tourism. Santa Margherita is not like that. Both times I went there it was unbelievably isolated from the unwashed masses. The boat rides to Portofino... More

Santa Margherita is wonderful. We could only be here for 2 nights as part of a Globus tour but it was definitely a highlight of our trip. Prices are not too high, especially for the Cinque Terre area. There are so many wonderful restaurants etc that you need a good amount of time to try as many as possible. All... More

Very comfortable town to visit Portfino or Cinque Terre. Everything here is very reasonably priced.

Santa Margherita is Magic. This small town is always beautiful, in summer and in winter too. Long sunny promenades, tasty traditional ligurian food and shopping... Good time for everyone!

Splendid little town with nice people better to stay here than in Portofino. Take a boat trip also to the nearest town to Rapallo.

A beautiful town... Quiet, and serene, yet FULL of life and vibe. Lots to do, especialy the walk to Portofino either, via the road or the much more energetic and hard walk through the park. Taking the boats and to San Ferigianno is also a must. It also can be walked, but make sure you know there is a boat... More

We loved this location. We stayed at Santa Margherita Palace just steps away from everything. Would love to come back and even stay a month or more.
