Santa Margherita is a truly beautiful part of Italy and the world. Great place to stay with wonderful hotels, many, many restaurants offering delicious fare at reasonable prices. The whole area oozes charm and beauty, with nearby places to visit such as Rapallo, Portofino and Cinque Terre just to name a few.

If you're staying in the Portofino then this is the place to be. Larger than its neighbour but far more to do and see once the splendour of Portofino has rubbed off. Good train service to many other lovely towns along the coast. Walking distance to Rapllo In one direction and Portofino in the other. Some fantastic restaurants and bars... More

Nice pinturesque village at the coast. Nice beach athmosphere in the summer. The beach has no sand, bUt grey rolling stones. Large variety of restaurants. Very expensive and mostly decadent hotels.

Nice seaside town. Relaxed. Good restaurants. Beats Rapallo which is rather busy and dirty by comparison.

An hour drive from Milan Central, and there go the beach, shops, great cafes for aperitif, and plenty choices for restaurants to choose from for dining. A great place to kill the heat in summer, the sea water just amazing!

The city is nice, very small, but lively at night. The beaches are nice and there are also sime nice restaurants. From here you can take the bus to Portofino, which is 5 km away
