Very nice grounds around the villa and church, you might want to check on the closing times. We got locked in and had to call security to let us out

We stayed at a the Hotel Mediteraneo at the bottom of the hill near the Villa and found the gardens and building quite delightful. Old - it was built in 1678, and maybe a little weathered over time, but gracious and timeless. We were on our own the day we visited and wandered through the rooms admiring the works of... More

Beautiful gardens with lots of benches for resting. Some of the most spectacular view in Santa Margherita. The actual villa is not worth the €5.50 for the entrance fee

Do not be put off by the climb required to visit Villa Durazzo; you will be rewarded with a superb view over the Bay and a very nice coffee bar where we had the best cappucinos ever.

Decided to walk up this street to get a closer look at the church and to my right was an entrance to what I thought was a private residence's garden until a local said go on in and have a nice walk. Wow! It was acres of gardens on multiple levels. The baron had it built to be the summer... More

We stumbled upon it without any previous plans and were pleasantly surprised by the park beauty. It is slightly up hill but the views are splendid.
