one the highlights of our trip was taking the cable car up the mountain (a short walk from the hotel) to the Church on top of the mountain. The cable ride up the mountain offers a magnificent view of Rapallo, its bay and the Mediterranean. The Church is stunningly beautiful, and we lucked out when we got to the Church... More

This church is at the to of the mountain and is a fair walk up a slope once you leave the cable car. Very ornate inside.

Beautiful church, with lots of history. It's situation near the mountain top overlooking Rapallo, is well worth the cable car trip to visit it. So peaceful, and serene. Definitely worth it.

Loved the cable car ride to the top! The church is beyond beautiful and breathtaking! Wished we had more time to spend enjoying a meal at the little cafe there. We did enjoy the gift shop at the Basilica and purchased many memorable souveniers.

Visiting this place is to come to a place with tranquility, peace, closer to heaven and in the middle of nature far away from the busy and noisy city. We plan during our next visit to stay a couple of nights enjoying the silence and peace.

We took the easy option and rode the cable car up to this spot. Walked up to the church (service in progress) then walked around the back and down the path to have a coffee shop with the most amazing views. Later on my trip I found someone who said they had lunch there and it was good. The church... More

while it takes a bit of effort to get to this beautiful little church, it is well worth it. one can either go via funicular or by foot (2 hrs or so walk) or any combination of the two. once at the top of the mountain, the church is there, along with a bar, restaurant, and even a little hotel.

This santuary can be reached by cable car or on foot, but the hike is not for everyone and could take up to two hours. However, once there the view if breathtaking and the silence is wonderful. And, the little church is well worth a visit.
