Outdoor Portofino deals with ecotourism and outdoor activities related to the sea. The idea is to give everyone the chance to appreciate the beauty of Portofino Marine Park in the best possible way: paddling, rowing and sailing!AIM:Our goal is to give everyone the chance to discover the secrets of this preserved area. On board of kayaks or small sailing and rowing boats we give the opportunity to reach and see hidden and otherwise inaccessible natural paradises that behold the most colorful and genuine secrets of the ligurian coast sea vegetation. Guided by marine biologists and local experts in off-track excursion, all of our staff assures not only the best company and highest quality of sea sports instruction and guiding, but the chance to come in contact with the most peculiar and traditional aspects of this small and rich natural sanctuary and its costumes. With a bit of ambition and firmly believing in eco-tourism’s power, we want to provide the opportunity for those who visit these beautiful places to do it in the best way possible! We are also involved in carrying on a scientific environmental project.

Portofino & Santa Margherita the most beautiful nature and water! No beach, only rocks, wasn't a problem for us but some might not like it. The towns are cute and u can walk from one to another easily. Portofino is expensive, the other more affordable! Totally recommend! We are still under the spell of its beauty!

We arrived by ferry into the picture postcard harbor. The buildings are brilliantly colored and it is visually stunning. The streets are lined with many quant little shops (not all tourist stuff). We sat at a seaside cafe and enjoyed a wonderful local wine and a wonderful snack of olives, tomatoes in olive oil, fresh mozzarella and bread. It was... More

Nestled in a secluded harbor, Portofino is a picturesque seaside village with brightly colored houses that have Tromp L'oeil fronts that mimic expensive architectural details. You'll find shops, restaurants, cafes, and luxury hotels as well as narrow trails that meander up the hillside to the old castle and a lighthouse at the end. Once you've explored the tiny village and... More

Staying in Chiavari, we took the train to Santa Margherita Ligure and then ignored the bus option to get to Portofino but decided to walk instead. We had sought advice about which route - road or hills. We are a family of 4 (youngest 18, eldest 54) and wanted a walk, but given the heat of the first day in... More

We were very excited to include Portofino on our return trip to Europe in June. It was just as magnificent as it was the last trip. Watching the large, medium, and small size boats come in as we ate a wonderful meal along the waterside. Just doesn't get any better. Were able to visit the church on the hill this... More

Stop and enjoy the morning sunshine in this beautiful little port. Have a coffee in one of the cafe's on the harbour. We thought it would be sooooo expensive but it only cost 9 euros, including tip, for 1 expresso and 1 cappuccino. A nice surprise...we expected to pay a small fortune for the privilege. So please don't be put... More

As a previous reviewer has noted you can take a walk along the beautiful coast from Santa Margherita Ligure to Portofino. It takes about 35 minutes to get to the mid-point. the tiny village of Paraggi, where the forest trail begins. From here you go up and down the wooded hills but its not too strenuous. The trail brings you... More
