Being a somewhat frail octogenarian, I had something of a problem climbing up, but the resulting view was worth the effort. The cemetery does not show up well in this picture. It was absolutely covered with flowers - orchids and cyclamen - one of the prettiest sights I have ever seen - and looking our over the Mediterranean. I would... more

The church looks down on Portofino harbour on one side and across the mediterranean on the other . The building itself is very simple, with a cemetery built into the rocks behind it.
