This church has a simple exterior with a surprisingly beautiful interior. The ceiling was especially beautiful. The views overlooking the city below were really beautiful. Thought this was well the time to spend a bit of time viewing despite all the wonderful things to see in Portofino.

Truely a must for anyone to visit during your stay- breathtaking views from the church. The paintings, and mosaics are really lovely and the whole place was calming and it is worth sitting and taking it all in

We were wandering around and came to this chiesa. It was nice and work a look if you find yourself standing in front of it. Beautiful stained glass windows and some good statues and frescos.

We were exploring around Portofino and came across this church at the top of a hill. We decided to go in and have a look. The inside is richly decorated and nice to look around. You don't need to stay long but it's a great thing to see if you need to take a break from the sun. Upon exiting,... More

Lovely church, especially the stained glass windows. Nice prospect/view over to harbor to the Chiesa di San Giorgio. If pressed for time, skip it though and head to the San Giorgio - if for the view alone.

we stopped here on the way back from a walk to the lighthouse. the walk and views were great including Chiesa di San Martino. This is a great spot for a photo looking back into the harbor of Portofino.

Beautiful church! If you talk to the locals you will find out that there are some memorials in the church dedicated to their families. Full of beautiful architecture.

This church is a bit out of the way, off to the right of the main square. The architecture is great, as are the stained glass windows. It is worth the walk.

I preferred this to St George church as it was far more atmospheric and beautiful inside. This is on the right hand side of the village (looking from the sea)

The medieval Church of San Martino, which dominates the hillside, was built in the XII century in the Romanesque style. Approaching the church, you will cross a beautiful mosaic terrace, where you have a great view of the entire Portofino bay. Entering the church, you pass through the magnificent bronze door. Inside there are several paintings and sculptures including a... More
