My boyfriend wanted to go on a "daily tour" around the 5 Terre where you have the opportunity to visit the 5 lands &see them for an hour each. Sadly we arrived too late to take the 11:15am boat so we waited for the next one which was at 12:OO pm but that was the "afternoon tour" which consisted of... More

Cinque Terre is one of the most beautiful places to visit in Italy, but it's also not easy to include in most traditional travel itineraries for Italy. If you are touring Italy by car, here's one way to fit in Cinque Terre as a day trip: take the 5 Terre ferry from La Spezia. While our family of five would... More

Minimal communication with passengers left for long periods waiting unnecessarily on docks while crew sat inside the boat. Changes were made to the timetable schedule passengers not informed on day that i used service. Some of the crew assisted with embarking and disembarking process others couldn't be bothered. Unfortunately they are the only company providing this service to cinque terre... More

I don't understand how they keep their business. (I do, they are more or less alone). This is the perfect exemple of bad communication. Not a single departure on time, no communication that you have to het off the first cruise to go to the villages, extra stops which are nowhere mentionned, the paper with their supposed to be schedule... Accessible via ferry boat from Portovenere, Italy (a fabulous island just past Cinque Terre), take this lovely, enjoyable tour of the three largely uninhabited islands where parts of medieval castles still stand and you can see caves that were inhabited long ago.

I agree totally with gaman below. On our day, there were two cruise ships in port, including Allure of the seas (capacity over 6,000 pax). Embarkation and disembarkation was by a single width gangway, and took about 20 minutes. There was no attempt at crowd control, with those waiting to embark urging forward and thus hampering those trying to disembark.... More

We took this ferry -- it is the best way to see all the villages of Cinque Terre and its very amazing scenery besides! You will have views you can not get from the land, even if you go to the tops of the hills. We were on the top deck for all of our trips, were able to stop... More

Cinque Terre is one of the most beautiful places I have visited. You can go there by train but I suggest to visit the towns by boat. You'll see Cinque Terre from a different perspective and then take the train back to La Spezia. Boats leave from La Spezia harbor.

One of the most picturesque locations on our planet! I also loved St. Margherita and Portofino. Will definitely return.

I was disappointed with our visit to this area. Very crowded, run down, constant train delays, trails closed, etc. This area is totally overrated. Towns are supposedly dependent on tourist trade and there were many tourist, but sadly the whole area is so run down and just plain dirty. We talked with a couple that was leaving after only one...
