If you have the time to go to Nervi, this place definitely worths the train ride. A one hour passegiata that will let you asking for more of its great views (great cliff picks) and, a personal advice, you MUST have a gelato on the cremeria at the end of the walk ( a fex blocks away on the shore,... Among joggers, walkers contemplating the kayaks that caress the sea, and the painters who immortalized unique views ... you can breathe the essence of spring ... little known to the general tourism, but really unique. It has absolutely nothing to envy to the most inflated Ligurian tourist destinations such as the 5 Terre (five Lands) and Portofino. An authentic pathway... More

Enjoyed a sunny and bracing December morning walking the length of this charming promenade. Easy and cheap to reach by train from central Genoa - make the effort if you are there for a couple of days or more. No wonder 19th and early 20th Century tourists flocked here.

One of my favorite things to do in the Genoa area. Liguria is all about the sea, and this sets it off beautifully. Stroll along with the young mothers with babies and older couples arm in arm. Fall in love with Italy all over again.

Must go if in the Genoa area. The woman at the tourist information office was very helpful when she found out we wanted to go to Nervi. She suggested buying the Genoa pass for 4.50 Euros which will let us ride all public transportation in Genoa, including the train to Nervi, and the lift and the funicular for 24 hours.

It was great to stroll on a windy day with a choppy sea, not many people about and few places open but we did have a moderately good if pricey lunch watching the waves, shame the mist spoilt the view.

This is a beatifully designed walk. The surface is smooth, gradients gentle and it runs for about a mile. There are plenty of cafes and it easily accessible along the route.

Catch the train from Piazza Principe station on the La Speza line. 20 minutes later you will arrive at Genova Nervi station . Alight and walk this fabulous area. Simply stunning with many old historic buildings and parks. A photographers heaven. Well worth a half day visit.

We were really surprised by Nervi which we loved, pretty little harbour with about three unpretentious bars/restaurants and the Passeggiata was beautiful. I had a nice swim from steps in a clear sea. Best view from a railway station I've ever experienced.
