The big red bus is usually so great for familiarizing us with new cities---we use it the first day to see what else we need to visit. This time in Genoa, (Sunday 9-7) the bus driver let 2 guys get on who spent the entire trip standing up front with the female driver & blonde ticket seller. They laughed &... More

We ended our cruise in Genoa in mid-November and we had the pleasant surprise , when we exited the terminal, to find that the City Sightseeing Bus was still in operation ( schedule advertised is April-Oct) . We bought the ticket with a 10% rebate as we had kept our tickets from Palma de Mallorca and we did 4 complete... More

The recorded commentary was blessedly easy to hear and covered all the high points. My friends and I loved the easy on-and-off aspect, in fact one of my friends went around several times. Great way to save your feet if you've overdone it the day before.

We found this bus tour extremely helpful in showing us around. On day one we just went right around the 9 stops to see where everything was. Commentary, available in 6 languages, was excellent and tickets are valid for 48 hours. On day two we got off at a couple of different stops and looked around before getting back on... More

We stopped whilst on a cruise, and the bus goes from right outside the terminal. Good value and nice and quick with loads of information about a beautiful city. The buses are frequent and seem to cover the entire city in no time at all. Perfect for getting off the cruise and visiting before lunch.

Our cruise ship MSC Magnifica docked at Genova for half a day. Realizing this was not a major attraction in our cruise itinerary, we decided to go around ourselves without joining the excursion offered by the cruise. We found the hop-on-hop-off bus and the City Tour Bus stops were right outside the cruise terminal. Even walking to the city center... More

Reliable service and now as a world wide service you know what you are getting. Not cheap but if you are using it for its purpose ie HoHo it is good value. Here they only do a 48 hour ticket. Good value if there for 48 hours, we were not and no alternative but still a great way to see... More

This bus trip takes about 50 minutes, it is a good way to familiarise yourself with the main highlights. It has about 8 stops, costs 15 Euro for a 48 hour ticket. If you want to visit the aquarium, ask when you buy your bus ticket, there is a discounted price available.

Genoa is an amazing city that very few people speak about. We decided to take the tourist bus at the Aquarium thinking it was like the ones in other cities. The young lady that sold us the ticket didn't know much about the system or didn't know much of English. When we got back to the Aquarium we complained, but... More

just spent 8 days in genoa, together with a week in milan, a week in barcelona and 8 days on the windstar from barcelona to nice. genoa is wonderful, partially because it is largely undiscovered. suggest you start with a 50 minute bus tour (starts at the acquarium) and watch carefully on the map where the bus goes. then, starting...
