If you come to Udine do not miss visiting this museum. Was very sorry taking photos inside is not allowed, but the brochour you get with addmission is very informative and has a wide photo selection of the Tiepolo amazing works. The enterace is on a side door and above it there are some little frescos.

I raccomend in particular the library, with some extraordinary medioeval codex. The affrescos of Tiepolo are uniques, but they require some history of art knowledge to be appreciated. They link Udine to the great venetian tradition. Ask for the time of visits because the episcopal palace were the collection is placed is a private institution

The palace houses a few frescos by Tiepolo, so it is a good place for those interested in his work. Overall, I was not impressed by the exhibition, but it is not time consuming, so it is quite pleasant visit. The library is really nice, we spent most of the time there.

This is an interesting and not very time consuming place. Tiepolo's frescoes are very decorative and the building itself is very nice as well. There are works from other artists to be seen there. I loved the library. Quiet, dark and calm with nice details.

An unprepossessing exterior belies the treasures within. The monumental staircase , look up!, leads you to the second floor and its suite of rooms, some decorated by Tiepolo. The library and The guest room are the best -every inch covered with fascinating detail and brilliant trompe l'oeil. And don't miss the stone staircase at the back - look up again! This... More

Thanks to a tip from tripadvisor contributor my friend and I spent several pleasurable hours in this charming palazzo with has major frescos by Tiepolo, which are in situ. The audio-guide enriched our experience. During our visit, at least, photography was allowed.

It amazes me that I am the first person to review the Museo Diocesano e Gallerie del Tiepolo or also called in some guide books the Palazzo Arcivescovile or Palazzo Patriarcale…maybe that’s the problem; too many names! But it’s probably because Udine may not receive many tourists, which is a pity because it’s has a genteel atmosphere and Friulian character,... More
