Arrived in Trieste unsure about which hotel to choose: the ornate, regal Starhotel Excelsior with sea views or a quiet interesting hotel like a urban Hotel in the quieter old area of town? I popped in here after an easy walk from the train station and the ladies were super helpful, friendly and kind. The woman who helped me offered... More

I am not a frequent traveller to Italy, but I have been in Italian cities where the tourist office is almost impossible to find and, when you get there, the staff are at best indifferent. However, I don't believe the Trieste office falls into this category at all. We were only in Trieste for the day on our way back... More

After bad experiences in other Italian cities this was a delight to visit. Lovely staff, very helpful with great advice. Can recommend you rent the audio guide of the city.

After tracking down the office, the first thing we tend to do on our trips, we were really let down by the lack of enthusiasm or help we received, almost as if the onus is on you to do all the research and work. Very little was communicated about local attractions, but we were given a map and a Tourist... More

We traveled by Ryanair and it was required to print our boarding passes. So, in this office, they helped us to print our boarding passes free of charges.

The door was locked even though the posted hours showed it was open. We went to a nearby security desk and asked for help. A security officer opened the door for us. Employees of the tourist office were inside at their desks. Apparently unlocking the door was not part of their duties. We asked for a maps and were given... More

Perhaps because Trieste is not a mecca for tourists, we found the city especially welcoming to those who ventured to the off-the-path city. The staff in the tourist office were very helpful. I do want to note here that our favorite restaurant is not listed in the tripadvisor queue. Buffet da Siora Rosa is a wonderful & cozy place for... More

Got plenty of general information about Trieste. Went on the free city walking tour. Very well done.

Easy to find just off the square. The city card paid for itself. We were in Trieste for 6 nights, the one week card worked well for admissions ( included the city tour ) and the little train to Cividale-Udine.
