You are brought back of 16 centuries in a world you never even guessed existed... stay there for at least 10 minutes, and you'll get it!

The Neonian baptistry was also a very beautiful place to visit, with beautiful mosaics. It was also close to the center of town,

Loved Ravenna. Loved the mosaics. And loved this place. It doesn't take long to see, and the artistry is amazing--as is the fact the mosaics are in such good condition 1500 or so years after they were created.

As the other great monuments that witnessed the byzantine/ early christianity era this is a mandatory stop. The legend says it was built over an ancient roman thermae.

More gorgeous mosaics to complete your set when visiting Ravenna. Small and crowded of course, but worth a visit if you have the time.

A historical place, dedicated to the Baptism. Beautiful mosaics, specially in the roof. The place is small but the beauty of the mosaics invites to a visit..

Do not leave this one out. You will want to make sure you stop and admire these mosaics. It will be one of the quicker stops. I thought the area outside the baptistery was one of the nicest. I was a bit disappointed in the upkeep of Ravenna in general outside some of their incredible mosaic sites. Once you get... More

This gentle place held some lovely energy in what I saw....The Roman bath was unique to see in Ravenna. The Duomo beside this structure complements each other in a visit.

Small with huge marble baptismal font in the centre. Wonderful, richly decorated ceiling mosaic of Baptism of Christ. Love the interpretation of being immersed in water ... and the dove.
