Four of us went on a full-day food tour with Laura. What a knowledgeable, professional, kind and generous guide she is. We had one of the best lunches of our three week trip at a restaurant in a vineyard setting and learned so much about the production of Parmesano-Reggiano, Parma Ham and Balsamic production. It was a wonderful way to... More

Laura is just the kind of tour guide you want- knowledgeable, connected with the agricultural community and generous with her expertise. Since we had no car, she offered to drive us; we were glad she did since the tour took us to the other side of the Emelia-Romagna region, well outside of Parma. It became apparent we were in for... This tour was on our last day in Italy after 3 weeks traveling from the Amalfi Coast to Rome, Florence and multiple stops in between. This more than met my expectations and Laura is a wonderful person. I highly reccomend this tour (with Laura) for anyone who has never seen Cheese, Parma Ham, or Balsamic Vinegar processed.

this trip is a must do for anyone visiting Parma. laura graciously picked us up at our hotel. our first stop was the parmigiano cheese factory which is about 30 minutes outside of Parma where we were joined by friends. laura limits her groups to 4 so that she can really teach you about the history and the process. her... I had communicated with Laura before our trip and arranged for tours of Parmesano-Reggiano cheese production, Balsmaic production and vineyard and lunch. The day before our tour, I received email from Laura to say she was very sick and would not be able to do our tours - BUT - she had arranged for Marco, the owner of the Balsamic... More

It was such a pleasure to have a half-day trip with Laura! First of all, we were 4 of us - a family from Poland for one week vacation in Italy and we stopped in Parma for one day to have a real food experiance, which was earlier determined by email with Laura. Laura did write really in details how... More

Sounds like a porcine lover's paradise? well, in fact Parma was the home of the composers Verdi and Toscannini and opera pervades every aspect of life here. Opening night at the Regio always involves meeting people Its an occasion. Special dinners are served at intermission during first night of the opera season in homage to opera's other passion - to... I really enjoyed my visit to Parma. Laura made sure we saw the everything but didn't feel rushed. She was very knowledgeable about each location. I recommend her tour to anyone interested in the food typical of Parma.

Laura did an terrific job explaining the intricate story behind these artisan products. We will never look at Parmesan cheese, Parma ham and Balsamic vinegar the same way again.
