Parma seems like a quiet & sleepy town. You can visit the center in less than few hours. The highlight of the visit for us was the food tour. After all Parma gave the world 2 iconic products: Parmesan & Ham. We took the half day tour, driving with our car after the guide’s car. An easy driving & a... More

One of the iconic images that helped us decide on Emilia-Romagna for our food & wine centric honeymoon was the racks and racks of parmigiano reggianno to be found. We found tips online to contact the consortium to set up a free tour. Turns out they need 10 people and we were the only two. When it became apparent that... More

parmiggiano regianno cheese factory tour, prosciutto factory, winery and a balsamico producer. Valeria was an extremely knowledgeable guide and could answer all our questions. The countryside was really beautiful! Awesome!

This tour was great. We were able to book last minute and get a private tour for two. We met our tour guide Michelle at our hotel and followed her in our car. We stopped at a parmigiana-reggiano maker, followed by a Parma ham plant and capping it off with a winery. At each location we learned in great detail... More

Sara at Food Valley Gourmet Tours was so helpful with our requests for food tours in Parma and for buses between cities for other group events that we had planned in Italy. Her responses were prompt and the company paired us with reliable bus companies. Not only did we feel safe during each transit, the tours were informative and entertaining... More

We are well travelled throughout Italy for a number of years now and we were looking for a tour in the Parma area. Our hotel recommended the Food Valley (Viale Fratti) Tour of the authentic cheese dairy of Parmigiano-Reggiano and the production of the Proscuitto di Parma ham. Our guide was Michelle Valeria Costa and was wonderful. I suggest that... More

Food Valley helped us organize numerous activities for a group of 13 in and around Parma and Venice. They did a spectacular job! Their attention to detail was great. They found and set up tours at several locations in the area that did a great job of telling the story of the areas of Italy surrounding these two cities. In... More

My husband and I had a wonderful day in early January touring three very different castles. Included in the price was a delicious lunch , castle entry fees , an art historian as a guide and a luxurious car with a skilled driver, Guido.. It was so exciting to be on a private tour and have each castle to ourselves.... More

My husband and I did the halfday tour on 11 December with Giulia and it was a definite highlight of our time in Emilia Romagna. The tour of the cheesemaking was so interesting and our guide was very informative about all the processes. The prosciotto tour was equally amazing and then we ended the day with the fabulous lunch! Worth... More

Spent a day on the food Valley Tour and it was superb. We followed the guide in her car and went to, in order, a parmesan cheese factory, a Parma ham place, a winery for lunch and a balsamic vinegar place. So fascinating and educational. The tasting lunch at the winery was excellent. The weather wasn't great but it didn't... More
