My daughter and I have a marvalous tour with Andrea in April. Food Valley Tours was so helpful in planning to maximize our time in Parma. Our guide picked us up at Tabiano Castle, where we had spent the night. Andrea is an easy going, knowledgeable guy and we really enjoyed his company. We toured the Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese factory in... more

Andrea made this tour very special and personal. The wine tasting/lunch was very pleasent and enjoyable. Andrea also went considerably out of his way to solve an issue for me and make our stay in the region very memoriable. Highly recommended and would do it again the next time I am in this region of Italy. Carlo Pignoli more

For anyone with a passion for food and a desire to discover the best of Parma and surrounding areas of the bountiful Emilia-Romagna region, a tour with Food Valley is definitely a “must do” . Foods that are particular to this area are experienced at the source - their production, fascinating history then of course, there is the chance to... more

I arranged this tour over the internet just prior to leaving for Italy. It's expensive but such a unique experience that I felt it was worth it. We got to see parmigiano reggiano cheese being made. Then saw a proscuitto factory up in the hills. The winery tour was not all that exciting to us because we live in Sonoma... more

In September we went on a food tour with Andrea of Food Valley as part of our vacation. We enjoy food immensely and we arranged our two weeks in Italy around going to a Parmesan and a Prosciutto factory in the spiritual home of Italian Food. The tour was excellent. We were traveling via train for two weeks so it... more

This tour was a pleasant surprise! The tour guide picked me up from the train station and took me to see the preparation of the Parmigiano Reggiano as well as the prosciutto. This took most of the morning ending with a sampling of prosciutto, other salamis from the area, and parmigiano. Definitely recommend this company, they do an excellent job... more

Being a keen family of cooks it seemed a wonderful start to our gastronomic tour of Italy to spend the day with a Food Valley Gourmet interpreter and guide. We started promptly at the dairy to see great kettles of boiling milk, the amazingly strong cheese makers through to the "Forest of cheese" maturing for up to 3 years. On... more

When our stay in Parma was almost over, we suddenly realised that it was a pitty that we had seen only buildings, and had missed to learn more about the world famous food in Parma. At the tourist office we found no help at all. Fortunately we saw an advertisement about Food Valley on the road map of Parma. We... more

I've booked with Food Valley Travel a gourmet tour for some friends of mine coming from US.. They were amazed by this tour! Excellent service, selected locations and very good tastings.. I suggest this tour operator for gourmet tours in the area of Parma but also in all North Italy (we booked also a tour in Piedmont..) They also organize... more

This was the first time I engaged this kind of assistance to organise a visit to this particular part of Italy. I evaluated it's adverts through their website and overall I would say they meet most of the expectations promoted in their site. Being a group of adults(9) and not particularly familiar with the area, I needed to consult with... more
