Our day with Carmelita of Cook Italy was the most glorious way to see the markets and food shops of Bologna Italy and at the same time prepare a fabulous meal to enjoy. I and a couple of friends enjoyed a shopping experience that combined the culture and protocol of Italian cuisine and at the same time provided an understanding... More

Our day with Carmrlita was extraordinary! She is an historian, guide, and teacher. This was far more than a culinary tutorial and a faboulos meal...although it was truly both of those! This day presented the opportuniy to learn about Italy and Bologna and the politics and histury of food.Carmelita has the warmth and charm of a long time friend. I... More

Carmelita's bubbly personality and enthusiasm are what make this class so much fun. She is extremely knowledgable and the shop visits and tastings were great. I felt like I spent the day shopping and cooking with a friend. Of course, the food we prepared was delicious! More

I had a private course with Catmelita on Saturday, 1st October 2011. I will not repeate the typical excellent comments of all those have the same experience. Six months later I say that I practiced what I learned several times, for different occasions. All my quests agree that Carmelita is great teacher (and I am great student :) ) If... More

We were extensively shown around the various produce shops and stalls on our mission to buy the best ingredients for our cooking class. We learnt a lot from Carmelita about the the types of produce available, the differences and origins. This was very satisfying and set the scene for the class itself. We had been looking forward to this for... More

This is the first time that I've taken a one-on-one cooking class. What a treat! Not only did I experience all the shops and their friendly outgoing owners, but I received a lot of great information on the history and origin of the food and recipes. Carmelita is not only a good and patient teacher but she's a lot of... More

This was by far the best cooking course I have done in my many travels all over the world. I am a cook and restaurant owner in Australia and my husband and sister also came along. Despite our different levels of cooking experience (and interest) in our group we all found the day to be thoroughly rewarding. Carmelita's passion for... More

With little time on our hands and based on recommendations from TripAdivor (Thank you!!) we set out to book a two day cooking session with Carmelita. Carmelita's cooking class was the best part of our trip in Italy! She spends the entire day with you - first taking you through the local market to educate you about food, where it comes from, what it should look like and taste like, the ingredients to look for, etc...
