Fantastic day out - well worth the money. Other reviews say it all. One tip - do not book an evening meal for the day you go on the trip. You get so much food that we didn't eat another thing for 18 hours! It is best not to plan anything for the rest of the day - apart from... More

Like some other reviewers my husband and I hesitated before booking this tour, firstly beacuse we don't "do" tours, and secondly beacuse of the price. Yes it is expensive but it is an experience you are unlikely to get anywhere else as a big part of it is Allesandro himself. His passion and knowledge of the production of DPO produced... More

Like some of the other reviewers, we had hesitated before booking the tour with Alessandro because of the high cost, but the day exceeded our expectations. The trips to the cheese factory and balsamic vinegar house were enlivened by Alessandro's explanations and anecdotes, the samples were of high quality and lunch was excellent and gut-busting. Yes you could probably do... More

Alesandro is an amazing and enthusiastic host! He picked us up at our hotel at 7 a.m., drove us out into the hills of Tuscany to view the actual making of parmesan reggiano cheese (DOP approved), fresh ricotta (absolutely fabulous), then off to see the creation of balsamic vinegar. When aged for 6-12 years, it changes completely. We had no... More

From start to finish the Italian Days Food Experience has been more than we could possibly imagine. It is surely not to be missed by anyone. Great work Alessandro and Barbara, we will hope to come back soon with more friends. More

WE liked being picked up/dropped off. The cost was high, especially when one can see Parmesan Cheese and Balsamic Vinegar being made on ones own at no cost. Lunch arranged by Alessandro was excellent More

You can not put a price tag on the type of experience that Allesandro provides on this tour. He is a fabulous and humorous tour guide. Barbara, his girlfriend is wonderful and handled all scheduling and correspondence of our tour perfectly. Allesandro's enthusiasm, passion and knowledge of the food and its production is outstanding. My husband and I always stay... More

This tour is fabulous! Alessandro is very passionate about food. We learned a tremendous amount about the making of Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese, Prosciutto, and Balsamic of Modena. We had delicious samples along the way, and ended with an extraordinary lunch experience. If you are very serious about cooking you might want to bring something to jot down a few notes on, otherwise... After reading the many reviews on Tripadvisor, I must say the day with Alessandro of Italian Days Food Experiences sounded very much like a party but I was not sure if it would be very informative. Was I wrong!! My husband and I were picked up from our B&B right on time (7:10 a.m.!) in order to get to the... More

Allessandro's passion for the food of the region was contagious. We loved our day and came away loving Bologna that much more. While the experience is pricey, it is a worthwhile splurge. More
