My sister and I booked a long weekend from London to Bologna, last weekend. Sis found this tour on TA and we decided as we were about to board our flight, that we should try and do it the following day. After a few emails back and forth, we had our places booked!! Amazing service! This meant an early start... More

i can't say enough good things about this day of food. There was never a dull moment. From the moment you are picked up at the hotel to the end of they day when you are delivered to your hotel, everything is first class. You will not be disappointed with the experience. You will go to food factories and finish... More

I can't believe it took us 1 1/2 years to discover what has become one of the supreme highlights of living in Italy. I was looking for a special day trip to take visitors on and discovered this one with its 5-star ratings. So I booked it for my best friend from the states, my husband and myself. We had... More

All reviews are correct- I was sceptical initially due to the fact that all reviews were so positive. Definitely the best €150 I have spent this year- food was phenomenal and I can highly recommend it. I was collected at 06:45 and was back at 16:30. Whatever about the cheese, definitely the best prosciutto ham I had ever eaten was... More

Thank you Alessandro! This was an excellent experience. Don't let the cost (150/person) keep you from going, it is definitely worth the money. Tour ends with a HUGE lunch with wine at a restaurant on top of a hill (you can skip dinner). As other reviewers have said, the driver picks you up and drops you off at your hotel,... More

My wife and I did the Italian Days Food Experience while visiting Florence in February. We took a train the night before to Bologna so we would be ready bright and early the next morning. We were picked up by the tour company promptly at 7am right in front of our hotel. Then, off we went on the first leg... More

I have done this tour three times since we have been in Bologna for business and it has been a great experience every time. Whenever we have guests visiting, this tour and wonderful eating experience is at the top of the list. Do not even hesitate to book with Allesandro and Barbara - they will give you a first class... Did the tour today, and as the other reviewers have noted, this is both time and money well spent. You'll need to get up early, but that's because the parmesan is only made first thing in the morning. Alessandro is a lot of fun and he presents lots of interesting information about Italian regional food rules and processes. You won't... More

My husband and I consider ourselves "foodies" and quite knowledgeable. We were a little apprehensive that this tour might rehash what we already knew. Boy were we wrong. Our guide Allesandro, was able to weave the explanations of the processes and techniques at each venue while infusing humor and personal attention with everyone in our group. At the end of... More
