What a wonderful way to be introduced to Italy! Although we flew into Milan very late the night before and had to leave our hotel before 6a in order to catch the train to Bologna, it was totally worth it! Alessandro is extremely passionate and knowledgeable about the Parmigiano Reggianno, Balsamico, and prosciutto. It's clear that he cares about his... More

My wife, teenage daughter and I joined another couple on Alessandro's tour this past Friday. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with him and learned more than we ever would have expected about the creation of Parmigiano Reggiano, Traditional Balsamic Vinegar DOP and Prosciutto di Modena. We sampled these local treasures after each tour with some locally made Lambrusco of course.... More

We had a fantastic day with Alessandro learning how Parmigiano Reggiano DOP is made, how Prosciutto Of Modena DOP is cured and all about Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena DOP. Not only did we gain a wealth of information about these products, we also gained a few pounds tasting and enjoying them. The lunch at the end of our tour... More

My partner and i visited in Feb 15, low season. With the great Tripadvisor reviews we had high hopes for this trip and we were not disappointed!! The perfect trip for any foodie. We went on a Saturday because we only had the weekend in Italy, but it was worth the early start! Alessandro is lovely of course!! And his... More

My husband and I love our food, we decided to join a tour not knowing what to expect, but I'm so glad we did as it was the highlight of our trip. It's good to have like-minded people that share the same passion to show us around and we definitely learn a lot about how the Parmagiano cheese, Proscuitto ham... More

We stayed in Bologna's city center during February and was checking into the food tour options. Since this was off-peak season, other tour companies had limited availability. Alessandro was very professional and responsive to accommodating our requests to setting up a tour on the day we requested. His team gave thorough instructions and itinerary via email. The driver was very... More

Book this tour! You won't be disappointed. Alessandro is an engaging and entertaining tour guide. See how Parmagianno Reggiano, prosciutto, and balsamic vinegar are made, and enjoy plentiful samples of all three. Take their warning about a small breakfast to heart, because the meal at the end of the day will be some of the best food you will eat... More

What a highlight of our time in Bologna, with a passionate and true lover of Italian food and local produce and traditions! This is a fantastic trip with Alessandro and Marco around Moderna. See how Parmagiano Reggiano and Proscuitto De Modena is made and be delighted by a traditional Italian feast. Do not eat breakfast because you will be belly... More
