My husband and I were on a 16-day trip around Italy this January. While staying in Firenze we took the train to meet Alessandro in Bologna, where he was patiently waiting for us coping with such a freezing morning. Not only was he very welcoming and friendly but he was also very enthusiastic and an expertise in parmigiano, proschiutto and... More

Italian Days tour is phenomenal. Allesandro is the perfect host. He is full of wonderful information and has gained access to processing venues that most tours do not experience. Even if you are not planning a trip to Bologna, it is worth making a side trip just to be a part of Italian Days. My friends and I (all "foodies"... More

There is a reason why this experience is rated as the best in Bologna and that is because it IS the BEST EXPERIENCE you will have in Italy!!!!!! Alessandro our guide and his disco dancing driver took us on a journey into traditional bologna; Parmigiano, prosciutto and Balsamico which was interesting, imformative and satisfying from the time the comfortable mini... We had an amazing time on the tour - definitely worth the price for the experience and the access to each of the sites. The "light" lunch was terrific. The parmigiano-reggiano factory was a huge highlight - we came home with 2kg of cheese, since the prices were a steal! More

I believe this will be the highlight of any trip, and the best meal ever! The cost is expensive, 150 euros/person and at least 2 people (total) need to be reserved in order for there to be a tour. But WOW. The guide was amazing, he knew all the details and secrets. The samples were great, the products bought were... More

This tour was incredible! We were able to see how authentic Italian balsamic, prosciutto and parmesan are made. The samples and HUGE meal to follow were to die for. Alessandro was a great guide- his spunky presentation and clear love for the culture had everyone in our group enthralled. Everyone I've talked to highly recommends this tour! More

Wonderful tour that gives you an inside look at Italian culture and (food) traditions. Watching the cheese makers on the job was amazing. The samples at all 3 stops were delicious. Our lunch in the beautiful hillside was one the best meals we had in Italy! There were about 7 different dishes. No need for dinner! This tour is a... More

A tour is only ever as good as the tour guide and I have never met anyone with as much passion, enthusiasm and knowledge as Alexandro. We learnt so much, and ate so so much. Worth every penny. More

I have to agree with all the stellar reviews of this tour. This was more than just a day of touring food places. This is the kind of experience that really adds to your knowledge of Italian food, expands your ability to taste the difference between products, and offers the chance to meet others with similar interests in a nice... Wecwent in a Saturday, luckily Alessandro had availability when we booked the day before leaving. Ended up with 2 mini vans, picked up from our apartment on time by great drivers. We visited a cheese factory and watched them cook the curds, separate them into to the cheese destined to be the famous parmiggiano reggiano or just cheese, or beautiful... More
