I cannot add anything novel that has not already been said by other reviewers. We booked the Food Market and Cooking Day with Rafella. Marcello met us for coffee midway through our market tour and we immediately loved them both! Truly welcoming in their approach and thoroughly knowledgable about the foods and wines of Italy. I can now see why... More

My family thoroughly enjoyed our fantastic tour with Raffaella and Marcello. It was one of the best vacations we've ever taken! They were the perfect hosts and showed us places that a regular tourist would never see. Some of the highlights included truffle hunting, visiting a parmesan cheese factory and balsamic vinegar factory and touring the beautiful city of Ravenna.... More

Our 5 day culinary tour through Bologna was one of the best vacations we have taken! Marcello is a very engaging host and guide, he makes you feel like a member of his family. You feel like you are touring with the mayor of Bologna, he knows everyone! Marcello went out of his way to accommodate my diet (mostly vegetarian),... More

I had heard so much about our guides before arriving in Umbria and from the moment of our meeting they did not disappoint. If you only go one time to Umbria and need the best guide then go with Bluone. Raffaella & Marcello were not only entertaining but their knowledge of Umbria’s special places was outstanding, whether it was truffle... More

This is the second Tour we have done with Marcello & Raffaella and would recommend this to anyone. The food tours are in depth & informative and Marcello & Raffaella are the perfect hosts, so much so we now consider them friends. If you have a passion for food and a love for the Italian lifestyle these are the people... More

In October of 2012, a friend and I were delighted to be introduced to Umbria by Marcella and Raffaella of Bluone tours. They know the region so well and I loved every place they took us, not to mention the excellent meals and delicious wine! Our group was small (8 of us for the first 3 days and then only... More

The pasta-making lesson from last Tuesday has fed my friends and family on Friday and now today, Sunday. My children cannot get over how much they love handmade fresh pasta. I prepared Raffaela's taglietelle with meat ragu and tiramisu to rave reviews. Five friends want to come over for a pasta lesson. Everyone wants the tiramisu recipe. Today I served... More

My family and I spent a day with Raffaella and Marcello learning about the food of the region, buying some of the food in the fascinating markets of Bologna, making the meal and than having a fantastic supper. It was the highlight of our 10 stay in what is one of Italy's nicest cities. There were 7 in our group... More

Bologna is a fantastic city to visit whilst in Italy. One can spend days here wandering the narrow streets, ancient alleys or crowded avenues. It is a magnificent yet underated destination. The real treat of this University town are it's Porticoes, 38km of them. Rain nor the summer heat can deter the on foot intrepid explorer . One porticoe is... More

Brief Summary: Wonderful... do this! If you like the more detailed reviews, read on... My wife and I did the Bluone food tour on 7/25. We left from Cinque Terre (Monterosso) on the 4:56AM train (yes a bit too early, but there will be time for sleeping later), and made it to our hotel (Hotel Porta San Mamalo) around 9:45.... More
