My husband have been on 2 of Bluone's tours. The first in 2003 was spent in and around Bologna. Then in 2007 we went back and stayed in Le Marche. Both times we had an incredible experience. We are vegetarians, so our tours were specially geared toward that. Marcello, Raffi, and their children are wonderful hosts. I can't even imagine... more

This is a belated review. My wife and myself joined Raffaela and Francesca for a wonderful day in Bologna in Nov 2008, based on all the positive reviews here on Tripadvisor. We were thrilled with the experience. Raffaela picked us up in the morning (Our hotel happened to be very closeby to their house, 5 min walk), and we went... more

As is the case with so many others, my wife and I (Americans) love travel in Italy more than any other destination. It's been our good fortune to have explored nearly every region of this country, and each has its own special attractions. If one has a serious interest in food, however, there is no better place to explore than... more

I have been working in Milan periodically and, on the weekends, I try to see as much as possible. I spent a weekend in Bologna with this wonderful family and it was the highlight of my trip. Bologna is a beautiful place, but spending time with Marcella and Rafaella is like being with family. They go so far above and... more

My family (a group of 10) went on a two week vacation to Italy in mid-late March of 2009. We were lucky to have been referred to Bluone tours by a Context travel representative and we were not disappointed. Marcello and Rafaella were warm and welcoming from our initial email correspondence to the actual market tour and cooking lesson. We... more

I had an absolutely amazing experience doing the day long cookery course. Its a real treat for anyone who has a passion for Italian food. It also gives you a real experience of the Italian way of living and eating when you visit their apartment and cook in their kitchen. You could not meet more congenial hosts - Rafaelle and... more

My husband and I recently returned from a trip to Italy. We decided to visit Bologna as it was so close to Milan and was something different to see. We found out about Bluone from Tripadvisor and decided to give it a try as we were looking for a cooking class. From the beginning of my correspondence with Rafaella and... more

We had a very tight schedule to cover and after asking around we found Bluone. What a stroke of luck! Raffa and Marcello designed our trip exactly the way we expected. In a week we moved seamlessly around Emilia-Romagna and saw everything we dreamed about and then some. They were caring, organized and knowlegeable never disapointing our expectations. We ate the... more

My sister and I headed off for a long weekend in Bologna with plans to potter around the local area, read books, eat delicious food and drink local wine. Reading books was going to be the extent of our activity, but whilst very relaxing it wasn't really going to allow us to get any insight into the real italy. So... more

We chose to day trip by train from Venice. Marcello found us the second we stepped onto the platform and quickly whisked us to the market for the morning shopping and drinks. His wife knows everything about food and was even careful to offer samples to my son that were milk & egg free. (He has allergies.) The real magic... more
