Sistine Chapel was not what we expected. I was disappointed. Just not what we expected. St Peter's Basillica more than made up for it. Stunningly beautiful.

We enjoyed the Vatican Museum, St Peter's Basilica, and Sistine Chapel tour is a must when visiting Rome. Get advance tickets to avoid the long lines. We had a great informative tour guide that made the three hour tour very educational and informative.

We joined one of the "skip the line" tours and we are so glad that we did. Daniela was our guide - with many years of experience and she was able to lead us through the wonders within the Vatican Museum by showing the top highlights. The Sistine Chapel is another amazing part of this tour. Would recommend this as... More

My son and I had already purchased advanced tickets to the Vatican Museum before we left for Rome. After we arrived in Rome, we signed up for the Vatican Live Tours because we heard that the Vatican Museum was so huge, it was easy to get overwhelmed and lost in it. We're really glad we did it (Vatican Live Tours... More

We were standing in front of the Colisseum wondering about the best way to tour the interior when a lovely lady with a badge approached us and suggested we tour with her group of 20-25 other people for an additional charge of 13 euros per person in addition to the entrance fee. That's when we met Roberto, our tour guide,... More

The best option for visiting the Vatican is with a personal guide. (Make sure it is an informed guide!) The guide helps with "skip the queue tickets" and assures that personal favourites are visited since it is impossible to see all the Vatican has to offer in 1 day. Spend at least 2 hours in St Peters Cathedral and the... More

Should I skip the line? Well I did I paid over £100 to skip the line (through British Airways) when tickets are only 16 euros. . Was it worth it? NO!! Now before you think that the Vatican museum isn't worth seeing it sooooo is. But to get the best view of everything don't pay to skip the line just... More

Of all Vatican tours, this one is my favorite. It's the Vatican Necropolis and the tomb of St. Peter under St. Peter's Basilica. The dusty, narrow, brick-lined streets, the burial sites of pagans and Christians brings the Roman past to life. Excavation was first authorized by Pius XI, a lover of antiquity, who wanted to be buried near St. Peter.... More

We did not book any tours before heading to the beautiful city of Rome, but we were aware of the size and number of things to see, especially in the Vatican City. We headed to the Vatican with the hopes of getting a good priced, entertaining and educational tour, and did we get it! We initially were approached by Dennis... More
