As the name suggests, this is Urban VIII's tomb designed by Bernini. Bernini started work on this 18 years before the death of Urban VIII. This is another "must not miss" attraction within St. Peter's Basilica.

One of the most magnificent sculptures that I have ever seen. I would rank in just below Michelangelo's David and Pieta and right with his own David. Even surrounded by awe-inspiring works, this stands alone.

This monument to Pope Urbano VIII is a wonderful example of the sculpture of Bernini, who was a genius and has left us such a great legacy of sculpture.
