The tours take you through very fast and it was very crowded. Lines very long to get through. first the security line and then the ticket line. This is an enormous museum. So many different aspects. Unless you enjoy queuing, book in advance. Don't bother with booking sites - go directly to the museum's own site. The Vatican Museum houses one of the largest collection in Italy, and by the largest collection also means the largest ques and crowd you could get.
