We found this location easy to find off the A24 at the Tivoli exit and just followed the brown signs to "villa adriana". Close to Rome but also in the country away from the crowds. This complex of baths, sports arenas, pools and palaces cover an area larger than many provincial cities in Italy. The views towards Rome are great... more

This is a hard to find sight even if you have your own hire car as we did. The signs are not terribly helpful. When you arrive there is a paying car park. I guess that it would be full in peak season though. This is a very large sight and involves much walking. Think of it as more of... more

This is a hard site to find. Blue bus form Tivoli takes you down the hill drops you off in a unknown street. 20min walk in the heat to the site through back streets. Entrance cost 10 euros + 3.50 euros for audio tour. Drinks cost 4 euros for a bottle of Coke WOW take your own. Not a site... more

We were able to visit Hadrian's Villa and The Tivoli Gardens as part of a package tour through Vastours which had to be booked through the tour company Enjoy Rome.
