Laura did an excellent job at showing us the different eras in several piazzas, palazzos, streets and monuments we strolled by. We thoroughly enjoyed her deep knowledge of history and art. Plus her charming insights of Roman culture made this tour one of the best experiences in our trip to Rome.

Our family, which included 2 college students, had planned to be staying in Rome for a short weekend at the end of a 2 week trip to Germany & Italy. We were looking for tours that would include the Colosseum and must see attractions but I had not booked anything and our stay was a couple of days away. I... More

Yesterday we had a wonderful tour (4 Australian adults) of the Vatican City with our guide Francesca who is an art historian. She was so informative and delightful. She took us to the best spots to view the amazing collections in the museums and explained things in context. She gave us an excellent pre Sistine chapel information session so that... More

Our entire experience with Rome Walks was outstanding! Their website was very thorough and the staff were amazingly quick to respond to requests for additional information and to work with us to tailor the tours to accommodate several special requests we had along the way. Our guide, Laura, was extremely knowledgeable; the city with its remarkable sites and historical figures... More

We decided late in the day that we wanted to take tour of specific religious sites in Rome. I emailed Rome Walks and at 11PM received a confirmation that our request would be accommodated. The following morning I confirmed by phone. Our tour guide turned out to be knowledgeable in our area of interests. He was very friendly and engaged... More

Our family booked 2 different half day tours and they were highlights of our time in Rome. From the moment I booked, everything was made easy. Wonderful communication with the main office and great follow up. The guides we had (Laura and Janet) were wonderful, warm, patient and very interesting women! It was so nice to be 'taken care of'... We had such a great time on our first Rome Walks tour that we immediately booked another. Both were excellent. We learned things about Rome and saw places in Rome that we hadn't seen before (this was our 4th trip to Rome). We highly recommend Rome Walks to anyone going to Rome.

Sharing a route for a walking tour that is only about 30 minutes of leisurely walking but can easily take up 2-3 hours of exploring and sightseeing. From the Spanish Steps (Piazza di Spagna), head south towards the newly renovated Trevi Fountain (Fontana di Trevi), then south west towards the Pantheon (where two Italian Kings, including Vittorio Emmanuel II, and...
