We used Rome Walks for tours of the Colosseum, San Clemente, and the Vatican and both our guides (Simeon and Francesca) were fabulous. They kept our teenagers engaged and all of us entertained and informed with their wealth of knowledge. The guides were qualified archeologist and art historian so they really knew their stuff. I went back 2 days later... More

I highly recommend Maria Rosaria as a tour guide for the Vatican. She is a native Roman, speaks perfect English and holds a university degree in Renaissance Art History. She expertly explained the significance of each collection and could inform and engage us about the lives and times of artists Michaelangelo, Raphael, Da Vinci, Bernini and many popes. We paid... I only had two full days in Rome with my daughter and time was of the essence. We scheduled the Vatican for our 1st afternoon followed by the Wine Tasting in the evening. There was one other family for the Vatican tour and it was just the two of us for the Wine Tasting. Both were excellent. The bonus and... More

We scheduled two tours for our first trip to Rome - the Colosseum and the Vatican. Both tours were well worth the price. Each of our guides were truly passionate about their topics and really brought the history to life as they moved us through the tour. Maria was our guide for the Vatican tour and was personable, bubbly and... More

We only had 3 days in rome and did not want too much walking but preferred to do 2 attractions well. We booked through Rome Walks. they are not cheap but you do get a very knowledge packed and almost individual tour in late september. Our tour of the vatican was scheduled for 4 hours. Most unbooked visitors looked as... More

My husband and I scheduled the Vatican - Skip the Line Tour for our first trip to Rome. Margarita was very passionate and knowledgeable. She made the 4 hour walking tour very enjoyable. We have recommended Rome Walks and Maragrita to friends planning a trip to Rome.

I took the Jewish Ghetto and Trastevere Walk in October and there were five other people on the tour with our guide. It was a nice tour and I learned a lot of interesting facts about both areas that I would not have known otherwise. These are both great areas to explore in Rome if you have time. Our guide... More

We had a VIP tour of The Colloseum with Francesca from Rome Walks and it was the highlight of our trip. They also organised a car to collect us from our hotel (at extra cost) so that was helpful as we weren't staying near The Colloseum. The queues to The Colloseum are ENORMOUS: you think they're long from the outside... More

We took the 3 hour Rome Walks tour of the Vatican. Our guide was very knowledgeable, providing details about what we were seeing, but we felt we were listening to a recitation from a history book -- not a " lively" presentation . ( we have gone on many walking tours both in Europe & New York & know how... More

Please be advised that this review is not about Rome Walks. We have been corresponding with the reviewer, explaining that we did not run a morning Vatican tour on that day. Unfortunately, there are many other companies that pretend to be Rome Walks. Please be very careful when booking with Rome Walks, making sure that you use our official website... More

We booked a private tour of the Vatican and it turned out to be a great choice. Josephine met us at our hotel and she was a wonderful tour guide. Her knowledge was impressive and I am sure we barely scratched the surface. I also cannot imagine trying to tour the Vatican without a guide of some sort like this.... More
