Our wonderful guide Josephine took our group of 9 on a very enjoyable and informative tour of the Colosseum, The Roman Forum and more during The Ancient Rome Colosseum tour. Rome Walks gave me as a solo new comer to Italy, very good assistance with a map to find our meeting place from my hotel which was so helpful. The... More

Looked at several companies then chose RomeWalks.com based on Tripadvisor reviews. Booked in advance via their website. Wasn't disappointed. Having been to Rome twice before this was my first guided tour in Rome. Learnt so much. Not just about the Forum & Colosseum but about Roman history in general. Our guide, Simon, was brilliant. He was entertaining (but not in... More

Well worth it!!! Although I am just posting this review now, I wrote it soon after travel. I retrieved it from an email directly to the company. I didn't want anyone to think I was trying to recollect after 2 years. Although, I am still that happy with our experience it was that good! My family was so very impressed... More

Visited in June for 4 days, did all the attractions usually on the A line of the Metro. This line takes you to all the major attractions. Easy to negotiate, each stop on the Metro is a an attraction!! We went in June so it was very hot, which we love, but won't suit some. If you like ruins, Rome... More

We had Rome Walks tours of the Vatican Museums-Sistine Chapel-St. Peters with Maria (I wish I could remember her last name). She was also our guide for the Boughese Galleries two days later. There were six people on our first tour, and in the Boughese only my wife and me. Maria was so knowledgable and passionate about the art and... More

We booked the tour Ancient City & Colosseum Walk. It was truly spectacular. Detailed explanations, personal time to explore, and an overall experience that is difficult to explain. So much information is covered - the guides are incredibly knowledgeable. We can not recommend highly enough.

I visited rome for a week with my mother. We didn't take any specific tour we just discovered on our own, wich is more fun in my opinion. Rome is a big city with lots of attractions but the good thing is the ease of transportation. You only need a map and a bus ticket to wonder around and enjoy... More

We did the Rome Scandals: Past and Present with Justin and thoroughly enjoyed. I recommend anyone who is in Rome looks him up for a tour; we are shattered we didn't book him for another tour. We learnt about everything from the crazy Ancient Roman Emperors right up until WWII history. This was a full on three hour tour that... More

We (two families with teenagers) signed up for the tour of Ancient Rome (Colosseum, Palatine Hill and the Roman Forum). It was a wonderful morning. Our guide made the ancient monuments and ruins come alive for us. It is like visiting Ancient Rome with your favorite high school history teacher. Well worth the money.

I took two tours: the Vatican and the Colosseum. Jumping the lines was great and without that, it would have been a bust. Both guides were well-versed in art and history. The passion they displayed for things like Raphael's ability to paint water, shadows and darkness and the insights into stories like Michelangelo's revenge against Cardinal Biaggio (inserting his likeness...
