First class tour with a look at Rome not scene to the outside world. My eyes were opened to the rich ancient history. It was inspiring!

A really well paced, informative and fun tour around some of the less well known areas of interest in Rome. I would thoroughly recommend this to anyone. The information is in nice small bite sizes so you don't feel overloaded, especially after maybe a long day of other sightseeing. Really enjoyable!!

Tour got us into the Vatican early....was nice to see the grounds nearly empty. Felt very private. Tour group was small and personal. Francesca was a great guide and very knowledgeable. Would use city wonders again. easy meeting place and check in.

Booked a tour of the Vatican museum with City of Wonders, have toured with this company before and found them to be very reliable. As the museum is so very large it would have been impossible to have see all of the exhibits during our visit so our highly professional and knowledgeable guide provided us a lovely tour whilst insuring... Our tour guide Peter was extremely knowledgeable about the art and history of Vatican city. His lighthearted yet informative commentary gave us a true appreciation of the works of Raphael, Michelangelo, Boticelli, and other great sculptors and painters of the Renaissance. The three hour tour was just about right to take in all the information and art. I don't think... More

Can't say enough good things about this tour. Very informative, but also entertaining. Great guide. Early flight tomorrow which is why I am not writing more. Book the tour on your first day in Rome to get a feel for the city,

Our tour guide, Marco, was very friendly and his knowledge on the Colosseum and the history of Rome was incredible! You could feel his passion and this translated into the tour that he gave us, making it exciting and interesting. I would massively recommend this tour to friends and other tourists in Rome! Worth every penny and more!

Staying in Campo Marzio

Neighborhood Profile
Campo Marzio
From its original role as ancient army training fields to its present-day identity as one of the city’s most desirable neighborhoods, the Campo Marzio is the best place to get lost in Rome. Gorgeous Renaissance and Baroque palazzos line the streets, and are filled with enticing boutiques and food shops. By day, Rome’s best-dressed denizens criss-cross its streets in a fashionable parade of errands, occasionally pausing to look fabulous in gorgeous piazzas like San Lorenzo in Lucina. Campo Marzio can be a bit of a sleeper after aperitivi hour (9pm), so visit by day and experience the pulse of daytime Rome.
