The square is breathtaking, and if you climb up to the basilica you will be able to see a fantastic view of the square. If you go early in the morning -about 8:30/09:00- it wont be too many people there and you dont have to wait in the line. it takes about 330 steps to get to the top of... more

Truly astounding, huge beyond comparison, really impressive. Be warned ladies will need to have covered shoulders and legs, not a nice queue in the summer months fully wrapped up, bring water :) more

We went on the official "Scavi" tour that goes under the church to ancient catacombs, including where St. Peter is supposed to be buried. Great tour.. you need to get advance reservations to attend. more
