This building is historically interesting as the principal church honoring the founder of the Jesuit Order, but the principal attraction for us was the trompe l'oeil work on the ceiling.

This is a beautiful church, one of the best we visited, and is tucked away in a lovely part of the city, between the Trevi fountain and the Pantheon. If you are going from one to the other (and you should!) it is well worth a visit. Very quiet and peaceful
Fantastic trompe l'oeil ceiling, well worth a visit. A beautiful church close to the Pantheon so you can do two brilliant sites in no time at all.
I enetered this church having no idea what was inside and I was delighted that I did. This church is outstanding and is one not to miss.
Overall, the inside of the church is very pretty. The fresco on the ceiling by the entrance is amazing. You really get the effect that there is no ceiling and all the characters in the painting are floating above you.
completely over the top with tromp l'oeil ceiling paintings but very impressive and worth stopping by (among the other 600 churches in rome!)
The church itself is riotous Baroque, with the ceiling a painted illusion of height. Square in front quite scenic, not to mention safe (Carabinieri headquarters).
We happened upon this church roaming the streets after a visit to the Pantheon. Gaudy and beautiful inside. A must see!!
Very beautiful Church. Need to stop in and See. A very pieceful reprieve from Roman streets. Stop in and relax
This church is interesting because instead of a dome, they have hung a canvas over the would-be dome's opening and have painting it to look like a dome!
