We booked our morning trip to Tivoli with Carrani on our hotel's recommendation. They picked us up from the hotel and dropped us nearby on our return. Although the transfer from shuttle bus to coach was a little chaotic, we cannot fault the rest of the tour which embraced Villa Adriana and Villa d'Este. The guides were excellent and multi-lingual... More

We used Carrani for an overnight trip to Pompeii. Upon our arrival very early in the morning the staff appeared disorganized. Our first tour guide was nice but difficult to hear and understand. In Naples we were passed off to another guide who took us to a very substandard lunch and then to Pompeii (which is also very disorganized with... More

Unfortunately, booked with travel agent as I usually do things myself. All was poor with no care for the customers who pay lots of money. See previous review added by another tour member.

The exception to a cattle truck experience was the insightful guide who took us on the tour of Pompeii, she was amazing. Don't bother with Naples it's a terrible lace to stop and a waste of my valuable travelling time. Of the 3 days, I would say that 25% was my time the rest was waiting or wasting time. Was... More

We booked this trip through Viator which had great online reviews at their site. Wow were we misled! Among other things, it was not conducted in English only, the "free day to tour Amalfi" is something you must arrange yourself on a very tight schedule, and the visit to Naples is essentially a 45 minute walk through a dirty, noisy... We were booked for a tour of the Vatican in the morning and an Ancient Rome tour in the afternoon with lunch provided. As we were new to Rome we decided to walk to the Carrani office to make sure that we knew where it was as we were to meet the bus on the morning of the tour at the... More

We just came back from a 3 day Carrani tour visiting Naples, Pompeii, Sorrento and Capri. Having read the previous poor reviews of Carrani on Tripadvisor, we prepared ourselves for some disorganisation and delays. Had we not set our expectations so low, we probably would have asked for a refund. Overall, we were satisfied in that we managed to visit... More

Why is everybody dissing Carrani? We were in Rome and took the one day trip to Capri. Started out at 7:30 a.m. The bus trip to Naples takes about 3 hours with about a 25 minute rest halfway. Our guide, Marco, spoke 3 languages and provided interesting details about the various cities and landmarks that we saw on the way.... More

We booked this tour through Expedia. We were especially happy with the cooking class. It took place at It's Amore' and we made pasta. The restaurant then prepared what we had made and served it with some delicious sauces, bread, and wine. Terrific! Would do over on another trip!

We took the three-day Carrani Tour, booked thrugh Viator. Like all packaged tours it had its ups, downs, and in-betweens. But overall, we saw a lot and are glad we did it. We'd give it 3 1/2 stars if the system allowed. Rome to Naples. The hotel pickup wasn't really, we had to drag our luggage through the early morning... More
