I booked an underground tour of the Roman Forum a couple of weeks back which could not go because the underground was flooded due to an afternoon rain. Not tour company's fault obviously. The guide said to talk with the office the next day for a refund. My Hotel contacted a representative who spoke with me and said they would... More

To top off pointless visits to destinations, constantly changing your guides, over priced food at stops where other shops were not allowed to serve you because you were apart if the tour, our final guide deserted us. Myself and my friend were deserted in rome after 9pm with over 30 kg of baggage and a back pack because our hotel... More

I went with my 13 year old son. Our guide on the bus francesca was lovely very informative. The rest stop was welcome and seemed to break up the journey. We met our guide to pompeii on naples have to agree this was a bit of a waste as it's a crowded walk and time that would of been better... More

We wanted to visit the Vatican without standing in a long queue as we had limited time and our 3 teenagers were not overly keen on "wasting" half a day looking at "more old boring things". Had looked at timed tickets to Vatican on their website the previous evening and there were plenty available from midday onwards. However, on asking... More

My daughter and myself have just completed the Carrani 5 day Fantasia Tour of Italy. We thoroughly enjoyed every minute of the tour. Our guide Myriam could not have been better. She looked after her group every minute and was so informative and helpful - her English impeccable. In Venice she gave us a comprehensive guide to "getting around" -... More

Private tour group is expensive it can hit up to 400-800 euros a trip depending on how long your trip is and how many people you have. To have a feel of rome cost savingly join walking group tour is probably the best option. Having opt for a group walking tour try not to have high expectations. They will meet... More

Our hotel phoned around to get my son and I into a Pompeii day trip tour for us late one evening. The first company the hotel called was fully booked and then the Carrani tour had only 2 spots left so we jumped to take it. Carrani Tour also came right to our hotel to pick us up in the... More

It is tough to know where to begin. We booked a "Panoramic Tour of Rome at Night" through Viator predicated on our excellent experiences with them to this point. The tour provider turned out to be Carrani, and that's where the wheels started to come off the bus. Advertised as an English-speaking tour, it was actually a French/English tour with... More

We booked a guide of Colosseum with Carrani tours through our hotel. We took the 29 euro offer, since we only wanted the guide for the Colosseum. Which I would say is the best choice if you want to skip the line and get some info during the tour. I think the were a number of factors, first of all... More

My wife and I booked the 3-Day Italy Trip: Naples, Pompeii, Sorrento and Capri in June 2014. The positive aspects were the hotel and food was good. The negative aspects were, cramped buses at times, multiple bus and guide changes during tour. 1.5 hour wait in Pompeii car park without seating in the 35 degree heat on the way to... More
