I have now been on two tours with Giovanni - the first to the Palatine Hill, Roman Forum and the Colloseum and the second to Ostia Antica. Giovanni is a hugely knowledgeable guide and so passionate about history and archeology that you cannot help but share in his enthusiasm. Everything you see with him comes to life in a way... More

I had the pleasure of enjoying the Ostia Antica Tour with Giovanni, a knowledgeable and enthusiastic archeologist.. I would like to say how impressed me and my friends were, with Giovanni and the tour. It was magnificent! Ostia Antica is an amazing place and the manner in which Giovanni shows you such archaeological site is first-class! Thank you to Giovanni... More

My boyfriend and I are so happy we chose Giovanni to guide us through The Forum, Palentine Hill, and the Colosseum. He speaks perfect English, showed up on time, and had a knowledge of the ruins that surpassed my expectations. My boyfriend being an Architect thoroughly enjoyed Giovanni's vast knowledge of not just the history but the construction of the... More

My wife and I spent 3 days in one of the most amazing places in the world. What made this visit so wonderful was that we had a personal guide Giovanni V. who is a combination of an Indiana Jones and a college professor…how can you beat this? We planned our trip prior to landing, with the help of Roads... More

Finding a private guide in Rome is like trying to figure out what the best gelato flavor is when there are hundreds to choose from. Luckily weeks of research lead me to Giovanni. After exchanging a few e-mails, Giovanni came up with a wonderful plan for 3 full day's of touring in and around Rome. We started with a day... More

Hello Leora, you review is definitely too flattering. You forgot to mention, though, that if the tours were so good it was also because I had very interested customers that had literally studied before the tours and were ready to have a challenging and insightful conversation about all the most important topics. I truly enjoyed giving you all the tours... More

Giovanni took us on a tour in Rome of the Palatine Hill, the Roman Forum and the Colloseum and it was amazing, I would recommend it to anyone. I never thought an organised tour could be so enjoyable but Giovanni is so knowledgeable and explains the history in such a fun and natural way that I was captivated for hours!... More

Ciao Emily, and thank you for your very kind review. Your choice of taking a tour was really surprising, considering that you actually live in Rome and you're not a tourist. But that probably doesn't matter: the city where you live is often the one that you know the least, and I'm glad that you decided to go on a... More

Even if the temperature was a little bit cold, we got the best tour we could get in Rome! It is very entertaining and we learned so much things about the architecture, the emperors, the religion... It is a nice way to see great buildings while learning a lot! I recommend it to everybody!

Hello Etienne, I truly enjoyed taking your family to Tivoli and the Roman Forum, and even if the weather was not the best to have a tour I'm glad that we all had a good time. I tried the maple syrup that you gave me and I really liked it: it's clear that, even if us italians brag to have... More

Giovanni Vergineo was our tour guide to Hadrian's Villa and Villa d’Este (The Tivoli Day Trip). We took the wrong train to meet up with Glovanni but he patiently waited for us. Although the temperature that day was 99 degrees, Giovanni was always courteous and friendly; he was also very knowledgeable, and overall a wonderful guide to have! My husband... More

I'm sorry for the inconvenience that we had at the beginning of our day trip, but luckily everything worked out pretty well. We were fortunate we had 3 full days in Rome. We spent two days seeing the sites in Rome and the 3rd in Tivoli. Giovanni is very knowledgeable and passionate about his city. Fräulein Laura, thank you for your very kind words. I'm happy you enjoyed your time in Rome, visiting the Catacombs of Domitilla, the Borghese Gallery and the Appian Way.
