I did not know this garden existed and came across it accidentally. A very hot day and a restful respite under a gorgeous rose arbor (photo now framed on my living room wall). On Aventino near Circus Maximus with beautiful views.

It was nice to walk through with great views of the forum in the distance but I've seen nicer gardens. Free is a good price!

We were lucky, the weather was great, and the rose garden a short walk from the hotel. We have never seen so many varieties - all labelled for the ignorant - beautifully laid out, and blooming furiously when we visited (early May). And it's free! What could be better value than that?

Beautiful fragrant roses, and a place to sit and enjoy a picnic on the way to the famous keyhole of the Knights of Malta building. You can see the circus Maximus from here too. All in all a restful beautiful stop

Not sure if it is really the biggest rose garden, but it is simply awesome. We spend hours walking and sitting on the benches and took photos. It was very hot but could not get ourselves away. Colours and smells and beauty. Do not miss this. We had the garden almost for ourselves, only an hand full of other visitors.

At the foot of the Aventino, in the spring, will open the gates of one of Rome's most romantic gardens. A lot of 1100 species of roses bloom in a riot of colors and scents that make it even more valuable for nature and a place that is already magical place. From here, in fact, you can enjoy a splendid... More

A beautifully fragrant garden, and one I would recommend on your journey towards the famous keyhole or the Mouth of Truth. Hundreds of different varieties .... The fragrance is overwhelming. Highly recommended.

What a wonderful way to spend the afternoon on a glorious Roman spring day. There are thousands of roses on display. The scent walking up the main path was almost overwhelming. The gardens are well set out and situated in a picturesque part if Rome - looking across the Circus Maximus to the Palantino. Well worth the visit for any... More

This garden is enjoyable at any time of the year, and the fragrant beauty of the roses is a fitting tribute to all the martyrs who died in the nearby Circus Maximus. In the garden you can contemplate the history and the countless sacrifices that happened right across the street. Here among the gentle slopes of this garden, you can... More
