Used Terravision as our means of transport from Fumi whatever it's called to Rome Termini. We did not realise that there are loads of companies doing the same thing for the same price. Found the bus stop easily, there was about 6 people in front of us in the queue, so diligently waited in the rain. The bus was late,... More

It was stated on their website that booking online would put you in a priority queue. However, this is absolute nonsense, as there was no queue whatsoever, just a seething mass of people who had just purchased their tickets trying to get on board the bus. The girl checking the tickets was extremely rude as well, most probably a result... More

We bought our tickets for the bus to and from Ciampino online before we left. The bus from the airport into Rome city centre left half an hour late and therefore we arrived in Termini much later than expected. The bus going back was incredibly chaotic with tickets being sold for a bus that was clearly full. We had our... More

This company has the least compassion for their customers. No understanding on organisation. If you are going to use this company, the ticket they give you at the airport MUST be exchanged for a boarding card at their office in Termini. Do not queue up for a bus without one or you will be kicked from the queue to the... More

I was traveling alone and after a long day of flights needed to get from the airport to the Termini train station. The line to buy a ticket was long and I had to wait about 45 minutes for a bus, then another 45 minutes for the drive to the train station. It's cheap transportation (5 euros) but was literally... I have used the terravision to rome a few times. You can get your tickets on line either for a single or return trip. We got single tickets at the airport . The coaches are just outside of the airport. it takes about 40-50mins to get to the termini depending on the traffic. We had purchased tickets on line to... More

Despite pre booking you still have to get your ticket validated before getting on coach, the queue was huge-at Termini station- most people having waited over an hour. A sign tells you that if you have pre-booked you should jump to the front of the queue which then involves verbal abuse from the rest of the queue. Despite 3 members... More

It has been a few years since I arrived at Roma Cciampino. Then it was little more than an aerodrome but transport into the city was quick and straightforward. My experience of landing there a few days ago was nothing short of disgraceful. We had booked the Terravision bus into Rome via the Ryanair website. On leaving the airport, there... More

Staying in Piazza Venezia / Ancient City

Neighborhood Profile
Piazza Venezia / Ancient City
If all roads lead to Rome, then they all end here. Piazza Venezia and the Ancient City are the very epicenter of the Eternal City. Within a 360-degree turn, Roman history unrolls in front of you, from its ancient beginnings to its 21st century transformations. Whether it’s those historical playgrounds known as the Roman and Imperial Forums, or the side-street shops, trattorie, and churches, this neighborhood packs a cultural punch and then some. Screaming scooters, battling buses, crazy cars, and lots of foot traffic converge in the area all day long. By dusk, a different vibe emerges as the neighborhood quiets down. Don't be surprised if you find yourself passing through the Piazza Venezia at least once a day, since it’s the most direct way to get from one side of town to another.
